i love how this song keeps evolving. from the acoustic versions he'd do around LIH era, to the building intensity of the Cardinals live versions when it was called "ICY Monsters" now this. Killer!!
Jesus? He's righteous, but I think it was the three wise men who deserve the credit ; ) Sorry, low-hanging fruit after 10 months in isolation... Greetings from exile in Japan, January 2021
Killer stuff. Makes it so hard for artists to keep focused when idiots in the crowd are shouting inanities & yelling smartass / dumbass comments like while Ryan's trying to sing, play, perform, remember the words, feel the song, create intimacy etc.
Thanks for the post. I was just to the right of you at this show. I was talking to somebody at the show about this song when he played it with the cardinals. That was very hard to live up to so was a little biased to that version. None the less a very fitting close to a great show. Please post more from this show if you have it.
i wrote this..not the composition/instrumental..the lyrics= i see monstors is happiness, perhaps being in bed with each other by a complacent hour with all your compliance to ownership having been conceded to.AND YET..the concessions were all yours:: monstors.
what..?..."sure", ryan sees monstors, or "sure", i wrote the lyrics in the song, "i see monstors"...which i did: so what is your substantiation for doubting this well substantiated fact.? ...thats right, you have none and i own the original music sheets.....i mean, what does your doubt have to do with anything per ryan adam.
Interesting that he has told the story of how he wrote the lyrics to this song many times, and never once has your name come up. Nowhere is your claim "substantiated".
Thank you! ....and thank you for the "steady hands". ...love it LIVE with monstrous solo!

That metal ending makes this song even more badass than it already was. Damn.
I wish I could get that live version on an album
Should listen to the version he did in like 2007 with the cardinals. That's basically what the ending is from except they did it for the whole song.
Thanks for catching this and posting. Love it
Thank you Jesus for posting this; have been thinking about this performance since last night. Just slayed it.
