Afternoon Shane I'm sitting at the Dr. Office waiting to check in for my appt. Thought since I'm first patient after lunch and am alone here I'd watch your video. Love how you make it look so easy! Much love from So.Cal.💟
Spiral cable wrap comes in large coils. From 4' to over 20'. I used it when I built electronic equipment and it comes in many colors ! ! UV resistant zip ties can also be found in the electrical section. They last much longer. All of your work is looking great !! -KJ
About to install a similar, smaller system here in nega for our muscadines and fruit trees excellent perspective / real world example. i think i'm sold on the isons kit now that i see how youre rocking it 😁
Great job🍇 May want to consider running PVC and use a timer for your zones. Sure beats moving and reconnecting hoses. They make a hose punch for that half inch line. Hate to see u drill through back side. Nice work on your vineyard 🍇
Question (I hope I didn't miss an earlier explanation-new subscriber trying to watch all the videos) how do you calculate how much of the 35 gallons of water needed with the amount of rain that you get? I live just outside of Mobile, AL and receive on average 65"/year. Do you try to calculate that in, or do you just irrigate 35 gallons on top of your normal rainfall? Wasn't sure if there was some type of formula you use to offset the amount needed by the amount of rain you receive each week. I'm loving your videos, by the way!
great question. I just guess lol. Basically if it rains hard I usually wait a couple of days before the watering. I just try to keep the ground from drying out. Don't over think muscadines they are super tough and really easy to grow
One question on watering - I am planning on starting with just 2 plants behind my house and probably not going to do a drip irrigation to begin with. In that case in Ga how often and how much do you recommend watering if I am just using a garden hose?
Just water when you think about it. My brother does it the way you are and he gets grapes every year. The main trick is to make sure and prune every February
Need to go buy a subsoiler for your tractor and then you will never need to dig a trench again. I use my subsoiler and 2 foot of chain looped together and the 1 inch poly pipe bent over the chain. Tape the pipe that is bent over with duct tape and run the pipe in the ground. Make sure you run the subsoiler with nothing on it first and dig the trench so the pipe doesn't tear on any roots.
Why not just run a pipe from your house out to the muscadines? Are you on city water? We have a well for our house and added water around our property via PVC and black roll pipe. It's a game changer! So much easier than carrying buckets, lugging hoses a long distance, moving them to mow, etc.
@@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia agreed. We rented a trencher and ran a bunch. It’s been worth it, might be cheaper than you think. Especially if you split the rental with a friend. Been binge watching your muscadine videos. Great stuff! 🍇🍇🍇
That my friend is a lot of irrigation pipe!! Wow!! - Rick
Yes it is. Almost done
Going to be another terrific GA vineyard!
It looks better and better out there with every video. It won't be long before you can reap what you've planted!

That's a great way to water your vineyard. I did that to my garden last yard and it was a breeze to water it. 🇺🇸🍇🇺🇸

JO JO IN VT 💕😄
Trench digging is back breaking work. Throw in that Georgia red clay and it takes it to another level. 🥵

You'll love it. Super easy
If you use a little dawn dish soap your pieces will slide together a little easier great information by the way
Pretty easy already. Thanks
Great job🍇

Do you see that the black zip ties last longer than clear/white? I’ve heard black has more UV resistance.
Never tried them but maybe shoild
A little spit makes the fittings slip on easier. -KJ

Ohhh, you mean't literally digging a trench. No wonder you didn't feel like doing it! LOL
Lol I did 5 rows yesterday and 5 today. I'm getting old lol

I need a second job to buy all this stuff lol

Just easier for us. Long ways to our house and $$$$ it never ends lol
