Sacred Geometry: Drawing the Metatron's Cube

  • thefrankbrother... Apologies for the rough quality. I had a dream last night that impeled me to make this video on the fly today... Metatron's Cube is a two-dimensional geometric figure created from 13 equal circles with lines from the center of each circle extending out to the centers of the other 12 circles. Six circles are placed in a hexagonal pattern around a central circle, with six more extending out along the same radial lines.
    Metatron's Cube shares 2-D resonance with the Flower of Life. It is a sacred geometry figure. Its name makes reference to Metatron, a figure mentioned only in apocryphal texts including the Book of Enoch or Sefer Hekhalot and the Zohar. These texts rank Metatron second only to YHVH in the heirarchy of spiritual beings. The derivation of Metatron's cube from the tree of life, which the Talmud clearly states was excluded from human experience during the exile from Eden, has led some scholars including Johann Andreas Eisenmenger to portray Metatron as the means by which humanity was given knowledge of YHVH. Presumably implying that study of Metatron's cube would be necessary to understanding the tree of life.

    The first large circle he made was just to get the 60 degree angle for the cross axis. Notice around 0:50 he starts making tics not ON it but near it. Its the radias out from the inner circle. So,.. it doesn't matter what size of circle you use,...it's all the same. Hope that helps.

    how did you get the measurement for the smaller circle in the centre ???

    • @lukebutler7112

      Radius divided by 4. A good size to start is 8cm radius big circle, and then 2cm small circles. A good compass (fixed wheel) and sharp pencil is needed if you want good accuracy. Good luck

  • @ChrisWilliamsRMWpigeon
    @ChrisWilliamsRMWpigeon 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    it can be any size, if you use small circles, the whole picture will be on a small scale, if you use bigger circles, the whole picture will be on a bigger scale

    It doesnt matter the radius of the first circle, as long as you dont adjust your compass all will be constant. Using your compass as he did you will make points on both sides of the circle that will give you the mid point en order to figure out the center of the circle.. No measuring or calculator is needed just the law of the compass and straight edge.

    it can be as big as you want to :) but I recommend it to be approximately 1/4R where R is the radius of the big circle at the beginning

    this drove me crazy trying to figure out, so I just started from the smaller circle in the center, once you have the 5 small ones in a line then you can create your larger circle =) much easier

    Should the first circle be double the radius of the inner ones? In my first attempt I made a rather small outer circle in ratio to the inner ones and therefore the step at 0:57 seconds seems to not come through.
    Thanks for this video :)

    Nice one, i needed this, it is a very interesting development for myself and im sure it is for others too. Anyway ive always liked to draw what i now know as geometric shapes, thus a while ago i created a logo which was inspired half from a dream and half intuition at the moment.

    I finally got it down, I was adding too many circles at the wrong angles. not sure why I couldn't figure that out. I was just excited cause I was heading to the beach in Mexico and was able to draw it in the sand :)

    Hi bldeagle10, I know your pain :) You just need a good solid compass and tighten everything up on it so the bugger can't move and alter (ever so slightly but very importantly) the size of your circles.
