Dude, within a matter of three days, you've become one of two of my favorite musicians on youtube. Your videos just always rule. Thanks for what you do!
My favorite parallel signal processing trick is to use a fuzz pedal and blend it with an overdrive that has a single slapback delay. The trick is to make the delay fast so your brain can't tell it's a separate sound. The fuzz pedal I use is the kind that's over the top, it gates hard with the gain dimed and it has a scoop switch that carves out a nice spot for the overdrive to hang out. When you combine it all, you get the kind of sound that Steve Albini would record. Then I use an a/b/y box to split off my clean signal into a 100% wet shimmer reverb. You can get a tape saturation sound by putting the reverb between the overdrive and delay and bringing back a little of the dry signal.
thanks for the comment, however there is no place for love on the issue of solderless cables, which i consider a spiritual war that must be won at all costs
Great PRO tips! I noticed no one mentioned the EHX Mod-Rex for the tremolo with waveshape options. It will also allow you to use those same waveshape options for panning the tremolo and a filter and modulation section all in stereo. You can also choose to use BPM readout or milliseconds and tap tempo.
I ve added a second output in my guitar and plug either on 2 amps or the high and low inputs of the same amp with different effects running out of each output. Occasionally plug in a 3rd and /or 4th amp through stereo/ dry, effect out from some pedals adding extra effects in the dry output. You can get amazing sounds. I forgot to mention that I wired the 2 guitars outputs to be able to use different hambuckers/ single coil combinations. Had to ad one 5way and one 3way sliders to achieve maximum combinations on a guitar that has 2 humbuckers that split in single coils[ each humbucker can be split in 2 different single coil ones] and a separate single coil. It's not as complicated as it sounds and the tonal options are limitless. Bootsy Collins has something similar on most of his basses.
THATS WHATS UP!!! i love this, especially DIY. I know BB king’s signature Lucille had this but im not sure if the output setup was as interesting. GG’s 🎉
In this video, the way you set up each tone is great. By the time you play it, we're so primed to hear what you came up with. Excellent tension/release ratio!
Yes mike, it will. But know it will only do series mode loop A to loop B and not the other way around. You need to ask yourself why in all of gods green hydroponic grow op would you want it to go the other way? Bounce loops back and forth maybe?? You're gonna be ok.
For that extra slushy sound (like snakefinger ones!), go for that Korg guitar synth from the 80's (the x911?)? You'll have plenty of it, of all sorts! The grail of 'slushy'/ first guitar synth attempt...!
Your devoted disciples demand a tararira how to be advanced.[ got it yesterday]Ps I finally spent 12 hours non stop with the attack decay and got amazing sounds out of it. Even ring modulation in the harmonic tremolo setting. Not pseudo ring modulation like the boss flanger can do but real old school jen/ gretch hr ringer type. Sending you my love for inspiring us.

it can do series X > Y but can it do Y > X .....says i want to use reverb in to delay or delay into reverb occasionally without needing to repatch my board?
I'm guessing parallel processing is not exactly what's happening in the Fairfield Hors d'Oeuvres when you blend in dry signal, but is the result the same?
If you keep the Feed knob on minimum and make sure the wet and dry phase switch is set to in phase, then yes can use the Hors d’Oeuvre as a parallel signal blender. Great call.
Hello brother. I trust you so I have a question for you. Shall I buy the drolo molecular disruptor? Yo Cyberattack, cool video. Re: Slush, I think what you're looking for a ring mod with a range control. Different method of sample rate reduction, but sounds pretty similar. I have a Copilot FX Antenna 2 that gets seriously slushy. Look into it.
@@CyberattackWorld As best as I can understand, the 'slush' is just the wavelength of the carrier frequency modulating your signal. Higher range = more animation
@@foramejora oh interesting, I always hear slush as more of an upper frequency thing, like a certain distribution of weird bit-crushy artifacts, as opposed to a modulation thing
@@CyberattackWorld I think this explanation still tracks, at least with respect to ring mod. There's more upper-frequency weirdness and a wider distribution of artifacts with longer wavelengths.
Cyber, i have a question. Can you do an experiment on a Boss DD20 about how glitchy can it get? I'm trying to prove if there is a myth on internet that it can't do stutter, like on the other Boss DD pedals, or like in Digidelay... but i think it can do some weird stuff
@@CyberattackWorld Oh thank you anyways, i think so, not having a Hold delay mode it doesnt mean it can't do great stuff. And other thing that i'm planning to do is to find a way to mod a Digidelay for a expression pedal, but it won't be easy. I've found some sort of "timestretch" texture on some modes, instead of standard self-oscilation, but it will be cooler if i don't have to leave my hands to tweak knobs.
Pattern trem is an essential effect for me and I can’t believe how few pedals do it. There’s the Mobius, the ZVEX seek trems, and kinda the Slicer. I use a ZOIA algorithm but it’s far from perfect.

Why settle for lame shimmer algorithms suitable for hippies creating ambient landscapes while dreaming playing minor 7th chords with aliens on Orion, planning intergalactic peace and harmony. We want our own dissonant ,analogue ring modulators and bit crushers in our repeats and tails. Why buy 2 reverb and 2 delay pedals each year, just for the new modulation. Why should major builders and ex " boutique ", now semi big builders rob us from our hard earned cash. No , brothers enough is enough. Boycott each and every new delay and reverb pedal which does not include send, return jacks. Let's put an end in their capitalistic greed once and for all. @Benjamin Coggins I too have the attack decay and it keeps amazing me. Today I used it as the most amazing clean boost after the octave multiplexer and the frequency analyzer. Gave me better tracking as well, even after the analogue suboctave which is rare. Usually I need to use compression before it. What have you tried in its fx loop so far? I currently put the ottobit in random stutter in the fx loop of the vapor trail or digdugDIY Waves Crashing. In this way I can mix wet and dry in the stutter which I love but can easily throw you off time/ beat on its own.
