What is different for example?
@@kvmvvx In England, it's not customary to bow to people; it's not as intense when it comes to manners. Also, I have heard that tipping in Korea when you're at a restaurant is not needed, but tipping in England is a very kind and common gesture, so it's kind of frowned upon not to tip at a restaurant. Also, what Hattie said about Christmas is so precise! There are Christmas lights, trees, decorations, offers, promos, celebrations, singing and so much more during Christmas. It really is the jolliest time of year. There isn't an equivalent to "hyung"/"noona"/"oppa"/"unnie" in England, as honorifics (except for Sir, Miss, Ms, Mrs, etc) aren't terribly important when talking to people who are older than you. There's a lot more, which you'll see in the upcoming vlogs, I'm sure, but those are the only things I can really think of at the moment. I hope this helps!

Foreign parents are really nice they love you if your daughter loved them aswell. It's kinda like if you treated their daughter or son with care and you loved them so much, they will love you as much as they love their daughter. But the FIRST meetings are always the hardest because that's when all of them are cold towards you because they don't know you at first. Then if you pass the first meeting then you are all set and no problem with😁

As someone who lives in the Philippines while her entire family is in the US, this really hit close to home. Even if I’m lucky enough to go back and forth several times a year, homesickness is definitely a pain so I really feel for Hattie! I’m so happy for the both of you. 🤍 I can’t wait for the England vlogs!
The Philippines is beautiful, do you mind sharing why you moved? Sometimes I want to pack up and move from the US to another country too lol but I have my husband and toddler in tow.
@@sapphireofthemyscira8257 Hi! I’m actually a Filipino-American that was born and raised in the Philippines. I went to the US for college, but that only lasted about a year. I decided to move back to the Philippines because it was ultimately home, but then my family moved to the US for good. A little complicates, but that summarizes my story haha. I moved back because the people and atmosphere was different. I am much more used to the culture over here as well as the people. It is also where I ultimately want to be in the future in terms of both career and eventually family. 🤗 The Philippines is truly beautiful, especially so when COVID wasn’t a thing haha. I wouldn’t encourage a move now, but definitely one post-COVID!

I understand what Hattie is feeling so closely. It's been two years for me as well since I moved to a different country and haven't seen my family. And it might take another year for me to be able to actually travel back and I am so homesick. Some days are really hard.
