Hey chat! an Update to my previous community post from yesterday. I've looked into it a bit and from what I can tell twitch affiliates do have a 24h restriction before they can upload content onto youtube. It may very well vary from contract to contract so 48h could very well be the case. That said, I'm not sure how enforced this rule is, seeing how other great and speedy highlighters haven't gotten into any trouble after many more months than I with a much bigger viewer count. I'm still thinking about how to tackle this, as much as I'd love to upload them sooner as usual for you guys I do think it's in my best interest to wait a little, as per Tomato's recommendation. If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate if you left a comment or sent a message my way. I've read the TOS and although nothing about this is written there I've seen other creators comment on that minimum 24h restriction. It got enforced against DSP I know that for sure, he thought he could get away with it by deleting his vods on twitch. But that's also an example done directly by the channel owner in question. This channel isn't owned by tomato and the video is edited so I'm not sure how much that even matters. That being said, 48 hours isn't a big deal so take all the time you need.
Honestly, 48hr is not that long to wait for these to come out. Whether it's on a case-by-case basis or not, I don't think it's worth testing that theory if it means twitch could take legal action against your channel.
I think tomato has said that he doesn't want an editor because he wants to upload videos that he feels are good enough for his audience he even just didn't upload some vods because he thought they weren't good enough
Gnome makes genuine quality stream highlights of tomato, so if anything the 48 may be good so he can have extra time to edit them to further improve the quality of them. I'm willing to wait : )
I adore the highlights you do, been watching them for a long time now. If tamto actually ever does want to get an editor I'm hoping that, if you're wanting such a thing, that you're a primary pick.
