If you don't wail and rift and run all over the place, you can't sing. I think it's stupid that people think like that. Not all singers are the same.
Great job even though the band messed up. You can see it on the Guitarist face soon as it happened. They forgot the 3rd part of the verse and went into the chorus while Ciara was still singing the verse. But Ciara always pulls through. 💙

The song is sung in the way it's supposed to be sang. It's her song. And it's not just about vocal range, it's about emotion. The song is supposed to be sung in tender, simple, and almost in tears of the happiness of finally finding real love . Which is why it's sung "strained" as you would say. If you listened to her songs, you'd know she does diversity her vocal range. The original studio version of this song she even harmonized resonant low notes, on top of the falsetto notes she sung here. She sung this very well I might add.
JTrey06 ...don’t hate the TRUTH. I’m one of her fans, but as a music professional, Ciara has to stick with her range. It’s a nice song, but no goosebumps. Btw... professional music critics do exist. Just my honest opinion ...just like your own opinion. Have a good day. 🤨😂🤣
@Niko Love There are good singers and poor singers. That's why I said to ask vocal coach. If you don't hear her being out of tune then your musical hearing is not good at all. No offence for Ciara. She has a sweet voice and great songs but some of them - especially Thinkin bout you is just too difficult for her to sing live.
