That first clip of DSG 3005 looks like it belongs on a documentary. As for all the DSG clips, they're easily my favourite part of the video. Somewhat amusingly, I first saw this video in my subscription feed while I was waiting at a railway crossing for MP6, 491 and GC3.
Another well done piece of work, thank you. Couldn't miss this one with the milk train running again - passes my house twice a day, ends sometime early December. Especially liked the opening with the electrics.
Very nice video man! The shot at 3:16 was absolutely beautiful! I remember going to New Plymouth and seeing the shunters everywhere, would love to go back one day.
Great coverage from your trip away, Pleased you finally managed to catch some EF's on 234 after that scare with 391T not having them. That shot at Waiwhakaiho was beyond the word awesome, And pleased you finally got to meet "Lift and Rail" in Levin for one of your shots of 565 on your return.
Nice to see the EF's in use. I'd heard (incorrectly) they had all been mothballed. This is precisely the sort of thing we need to reduce our carbon emissions. Hopefully the Labour government will spend the money to bridge the gap between the Auckland and main truck 25 K systems. They spent up big on the north Auckland line so it's not unrealistic to hope for. Might take a little longer to get the Wellington system converted to 25 K but it is at least creeping closer to Palmerston North. I have a feeling when that gap is finally bridged the Wellington system would be converted than running dual voltage equipment.
Awesome video nice shots we can’t get much high up shots here in Hamilton I also caught the EFs on 234 they will feature in my September/October rail action video

Cheers, thanks, I used your Taranaki video as a guide as I was wondering which of the S63 shunts were going to be light loco
Nice to the sparkies in use. Lovely video and thanks for producing it.
Cheers
Brilliant video. OMG awesome clip at 3:16. And also loved the EF hauled 234
Cheers Nathan, yeah when I biked past there I couldn't pass up the chance to film that shot! 😂
Good to see New Plymouth footage. Just wish there was more happening on it.
Yeah, there is only two freight trains there + the 4 port shunts, there used to be Train 523 but that has stopped running
