Jeremiah 31:31,33 The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
With the New covenant Jesus gave us a New commandment." A New commandment I give give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another".John 13: 44-35. " This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you". John15:12. If we want to be disciples of Jesus, then we keep His new commandment to love one another. SDA's focuss on the sabbath is a distraction on Jesus' NEW commandent which He emphasises more than sabbath.
@TimothyPaul-v6m but to follow the new command means to do away with 1 of the previous commandments? It doesn't make sense to me. God's law is perfect and doesn't change. His law is perfect because He is perfect.
@TimothyPaul-v6m Jesus and the apostles are Catholic, so that's good enough for me! Apparently, it wasn't good enough for Ellen G. White and the Adventists. *Why do you pray in Jesus' name, when Jesus was, is and always shall be Catholic.*
When Steve cherry-picked Ezekiel 36, he conveniently FORGOT to include that the purpose of God installing a new spirit in man is to enable us to observe God's LAWS and statutes. It doesn't say "90% of the Law."
People always say they are willing to die or to follow Jesus anywhere, but they refuse to go to church at the Church Christ Himself instituted while on earth and vowed to remain with "even unto the end of the world". *Why do you pray in Jesus' name, when Jesus was, is and always shall be Catholic.*
@@RemingtonTripp the whole Bible was inspired by God. Jesus IS God. And He inspired Romans 3:31 "Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law."
@Kunoichi139 we do apphold the law because the law is fulfilled. Galatians 5:14 ESV [14] For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Now I want to bring something to your attention. Romans 2:12-16 ESV [12] For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. [13] For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. [14] For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. [15] They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them [16] on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus. What in your mind does "by nature do what the law requires" means, because it most certainly does not mean keep the sabbath. No gentile is naturally keeping the sabbath, but they might naturally love their neighbors themselves. So it seems like keeping the sabbath is not a necessity for upholding the true purpose of the law. But rather love the lord and love your neighbor. Sure, you should absolutely devote time to God, and if you want to do it on the 7th day of the week, go ahead, if you want to do it on the 4th day of the week go ahead it's all the same. Romans 14:5 ESV [5] One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. I try to be spiritually mature, and so I acknowledge that all days are to God and all days belong to God.

And please notice that in John 7:23 Jesus say the sabbath is the law of Moses "If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the sabbath".SDAs focuss on the sabbath distracts and obscures Jesus' new commandment to love one another which He calls His NEW commandment, but the sabbath Jesus says is the law of Moses.
A true born again Christian doesn't need the 10 Commandments Doug to keep the Law of God! Paul makes it clear, Romans 7 & 8, the Law of Life in Christ Jesus, has made us free from the Law of sin and death! The 10 Commandments were given as a result of sin! They were a moral guide given through Moses, until Christ came! The Law itself judges all human beings as guilty, condemned sinners! Jesus became the curse of the Law on the cross ending or fulfilling the Old Covenant Administration under Moses. If you need the 10 Commandments to do what's morally right, you are still a condemned sinner! Doug speaks out of both sides of his mouth! Steve is 100% correct! Adventists sadly believe they're under the 10 Commandments and in order to not sin, they are trying through their flesh, to keep all 10 Commandments.... They don't understand faith in Christ alone through grace is how God's Law which is NOT the 10 Commandments, is NOT the 10 Commandments, but is Based Agape through the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit!
