Practice. There's no real shortcut lol, but I agree...go up a half step and repeat. Honestly, I don't approach every key the same way. I like doing different things in different keys due to feel.
Learn your major and minor scales & arpeggios first & then you can play anything. If you have a good play by ear ability that ices the cake! At least that's how I was taught by my high school band director.
Can u show what the left hand position for major, minor, dominant and diminished chords? Are they all a combination of flat 7's & 3rds? ...or visa versa?
im learning in the circle of 5ths guys. or FOURTHS if u count up from C....so Cmaj then Fmaj Bbmaj Ebmaj Abmaj. the fourth tone on each key in the scale. They are simlilar if u use this method

I do practice my 7-3-6 progression in all my keys. I also play the song "YES LORD" in all my keys to help me get familiarize with the key itself.
