So glad I found this channel. One of the best watch channels on the tube. No snobbery! Matt has a great sense of humor and Cameron is the tech expert plus his watches are cool and made right here in L.A. Awesome! keep it up
I definitely understand Matt for not know knowing what to talk about next, but I really hope they keep this podcast going. I am not even a "watch nerd" where I know all the numbers and movements, and I find it very entertaining.
Excellent show, please don't phase out this podcast. Why not do a history on Zodiac next, they are really building momentum with their resent success w/Chronos & Dive watches and now Ltd Editions. Yes bring back Carl too!
Backside of that Voutilainen is glass and has small seconds at 12 o'clock and half circle power reserve at 6. Quill & Pad has a nice write up and picture of the back of the 28ti for those interested.
Excellent show. One or both of you should visit the Grand Seiko studios in Japan. Also, GS 9f is accurate to +-10 sec/year with the limited editions being 5sec/year. Plus 50 years without servicing. Still the new citizen is amazing at 1sec/year. The spring drive is 15sec/month.
So Matt needs show ideas - Here we go! Interview Producer Michael . (This is a crossover because he is both a watch guy AND a car guy. Then he can interview you & Cam for his podcast.) Interview the guy who runs Crown and Caliber. Interview the guy who runs Detroit Watch Company. Interview Anthony L The No BS Watchmaker. Interview Ellen Degeneres. Internet - Post more ideas!
Looking forward to the Vacheron episode. I own a 3rd Gen Overseas Chrono, and I would never trade it in for that Bvlgari. To me the VC simply looks nicer, and the quick change strap system is amazing
I have a nineties style Tag Hauer and would like to put a rubber strap on the watch but the company has not made one available from my searches anyway, any ideas?
Dudes, that diamond Daydate is nothing. Look up the Daytona Leopard. That was factor Rolex at it's tackiest. That Grand Seiko platinum Snowflake is amazing. It's also like $73k. I totally agree about the new Seiko sports watches. THey have a couple of GMT Spring Drives in titanium that are essentially identical to the one Grand Seiko sells in steel for the same price. If I'm paying five grand for a Japanese watch, it had damn well better say Grand Seiko on the dial. At the same time they released some Grand Seiko models that are done to Credor standards at Credor prices. I'm not sure what they are doing. The watches are fine, but the branding is just strange. The Bvlgari is a really cool watch. I believe that's under 7mm thick. Good think titanium doesn't bend. Nicer looking than the current line of Royal Oaks and we won't mention the 11:59. That Citizen 0100 movement is amazing. Most of the quartz watches that radio synch only do it once or twice a day and since the makers know they will do that, they aren't generally very accurate movements on their own. On average, the Citizen will be more accurate eve on a daily basis. Seiko has some models rated to within 5 seconds per year and a few are GMT models. My main gripe with the Citizen watches with that movement is they look like what passes for Citizen dress watches; boring, bland, and low end. It's entirely the wrong style watch for that movement. Finally, the Zenith. I already don't like skeletonized dials usually. That jitter from the movement would drive me nuts. They actual dials that don't look like something from the Borg Collective. Hublot and Richard Mille have that style covered already.
problem with the bvlgari is that despite all those cool features, it comes off looking like a wide bracelet on the wrist instead of a watch.....at least to me. I tried on one and as much as I wanted to like it, it just looked like a wide flat bracelet.
The 4 o'clock crown on that Tudor screams "SKX" to me. It just looks like Tudor took elements of a vintage watch and a handful of other random parts and threw that thing together. Big miss for me.
You guys just sounded disappointed in seiko and that's all I ended up actually liking when I looked lol. Though I enjoyed the field watch from prospex line and the save the sharks diver
Matt, I have seen almost all of you Watch and Listen Pod Casts and I have yet to see you and Camron talk about or even mention the Marathon Military Issued watch brand. Marathon watch is a company that issues military spec watches to the American and Canadian military. I have owned a number of these watches and currently own a Marathon CSAR Pilots/Divers watch. I have subscribed to your Podcast and am a follower now. Sooooo….I would like to see you guys have a show on the Marathon watches. They are a touch as a tank type of watch that serve a function yet are very accurate, well made and stylish tool watch. Lets see you guys talk about them.
hey Matt & Cameron.. love that you guys are Back !!👍 off topic question: what band/ song is your intro... great riff ... ( I want to hear the whole song, maybe bring it to my/our band to cover ) .. tnx!
Lol. Cameron still has some snobbiness towards GS. GS blows rolex out of the park on its finishing and bang for buck. I have both GS peacock and rolex explorer and I received most compliments on my GS. He should watch the new watch finder video on seiko and GS.
Enjoyed the podcast as always, gents. I would be curious about your opinions regarding Shinola. Having just launched their second automatic model, are they doing something worthwhile from a design standpoint in your opinions?
The fact that people are still talking about a failure of a Basel world just shows how little news there is in the watch industry - which is ok, it’s downtime, save money for while
Isn't the limited edition, $6k Seiko Prospex the 40th Anniversary Mobile Suit Gundam-themed one (which looks absolutely fire, by the way)? Preeeetty sure Grand Seiko doesn't want an anime-themed product on their catalogue
Y'all got me looking at the swatch website and I discovered they also sell wall clocks. It's an 83 inch long, 11 inch face sized wrist watch you just hang the fuck on your wall. Hilarious, and only $170! I'm totally on board for goofiness like that, lmao.
That date window on the patek aquanaut is sinful. looks like it belongs on some cheap $5 watch from china. Why do so few watch brands get date windows right?
Watch accuracy is overrated beyond +/- 10 seconds a day. It's one of those things that I care about less and less the longer I own watches. Still cool to see, though.
I would like to disagree. When I was on wearing my seikos and Orients, I had to re adjust the time every 3 days as the accuracy was like +-20/30 seconds a day. Then I bought my rolex and it is losing only like - 1 sec a day and I correct it only like once a month.
@@vivekv27990 20-30 is way too much, yeah. That's why I said 10 seconds LOL. If you're off a minute each week, that just doesn't matter. But yes, it's very cool when a mechanical watch is super accurate.
Cameron killed it in this episode! would be really cool to do a whole episode mechanical watch accuracy.

Zodiac has a ton of cool stuff. The Astrographic re-issue is my favorite daily.
That black Yaght Master!!
Grand seiko sub is the Seiko Marinemaster 300 (sla021) with ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal.
Love the podcast Matt and Cam! Really appreciate Cameron's knowledge and Matt's keeping the show fun!
These episodes are getting better each time
Great show. I absolutely love the Breitling Premier chronograph B01 in British racing green. Came out late 2018. Something that wasn't in Baselworld..
45:55 actually, Bulova released a true 24k solid gold piece a few years ago! Kind of odd but interesting

Love the show. So happy a new one came out, I was feeling the lack.

The Computron was already re-released... in 2004 by Adidas. It's called the HSD and there were only 1,000 of each variant.
Looking forward to the Vacheron episode. I own a 3rd Gen Overseas Chrono, and I would never trade it in for that Bvlgari. To me the VC simply looks nicer, and the quick change strap system is amazing
Great episode guys and congrats on your wedding Matt!
Rolex -2/+2 has been there for a long time, before 2008. Not just on the new movements.
Not officially though, not guaranteed out of the box.
Can you guys do an episode on. Zennith they have some exquisite pieces
I have a nineties style Tag Hauer and would like to put a rubber strap on the watch but the company has not made one available from my searches anyway, any ideas?
It’s all over.
Navitimer reissue is great...I have an original 806 and it is very very close. I agree about the PO1 ...does not make much sense as shown.
This is my favorite show to watch on TH-cam 👍
We want Carl, we want Carl, great episode guys. @scottishwatches
my Omega Aqua Terra with the new-ish 8900 movement is like +2 a day.. it's insane.
Dudes, that diamond Daydate is nothing. Look up the Daytona Leopard. That was factor Rolex at it's tackiest.

there is a watch dial with no hands...I think it is Droz...relies on a minute repeater instead of hands.
Any good discount codes for Weiss watch?

Very cool episode!!

Dumb question. But how does an automatic watch get powered by the rotor? Like, how does it get power from the rotor spinning?
Brandon Herrera The rotor has gear teeth and they are connected to gears which can wind the mainspring.
great show! but what about the Patek manual wind chronograph?
you missed talking about Moser & Co
That Swatch designer is dope. Just found my new beater watch.
You guys just sounded disappointed in seiko and that's all I ended up actually liking when I looked lol. Though I enjoyed the field watch from prospex line and the save the sharks diver
That green patek was ghastly.

Reid Morris overpriced for what you’re getting. Grab an oris instead
Shinola is garbage. Not even American made. False advertisement
The fact that people are still talking about a failure of a Basel world just shows how little news there is in the watch industry - which is ok, it’s downtime, save money for while
You missed all the Sinn releases!
I would love to see a Sinn episode
Isn't the limited edition, $6k Seiko Prospex the 40th Anniversary Mobile Suit Gundam-themed one (which looks absolutely fire, by the way)? Preeeetty sure Grand Seiko doesn't want an anime-themed product on their catalogue
Lol. That's not the batman release this year. Wrong pic
That picture of the Rolex Batman isn’t the new 2019 model. There is supposed to be a crown in Swiss made like: Swiss 👑 Made.
Not that anyone cares lol
Please do a show about tourbillon movements and one about Richard Mille !
Rolex scos has been there for a long time now
Y'all got me looking at the swatch website and I discovered they also sell wall clocks. It's an 83 inch long, 11 inch face sized wrist watch you just hang the fuck on your wall. Hilarious, and only $170! I'm totally on board for goofiness like that, lmao.
In Canada we get a shittier version of the build your own Swatch. WTF???🙄
and how many owners actually dive with a sea dweller...
That date window on the patek aquanaut is sinful. looks like it belongs on some cheap $5 watch from china. Why do so few watch brands get date windows right?
Hi Matt, this is the grand Seiko you are looking for www.grand-seiko.com/us-en/collections/sbga229g
Great show guys.
But watches do get boring .
Lol. Bad choice watching a podcast on watches then
Frosafrost , I love watches but it get boring after a while .

The hour hand on the new GS chronos look like a butt plug. No thanks.
Does that Mr. Matt really have to curse so casually?
Can we all stop saying “fire” please.
F*** Swatch for eternity
