Looks like it worked well! There are two things we did on pastures to also get things going without working up the ground. We would put birdsfoot trefoil seed in with the cattle salt/mineral. Cattle would invest the mix the when it became a “cow patty” the seed had the perfect environment to sprout and grow. We also would broadcast seed at the time snow is melting and ground is beginning to warm up during the days, freezing at night. Dad called it frost seeding. Both methods worked for us. Just my .02 cents.
I love trefoil. The alfalfa was left over from a year ago and I didn't have much of it so it seemed like a good place to try it. We did frost seeding at the old farm with clover. It worked well, so well that when I looked at the satellite images a year later I could see the skips LOL.

Pretty impressive sometimes you get lucky and it seeds really good
We got the rain at the right time for it to work.
Did the fence pop back up?
It sprung back up a little more but we're going to have to replace it.
