I have relatives in Vero Beach, FL. I had the opportunity to go to DODGER TOWN. I’ve never been to spring training In Arizona. I understand why the Dodgers moved spring training to Arizona due to distance. Dodger Town being in Vero was because of the team being from Brooklyn. I was just a kid of 9 or 10 but that place was incredible.
Cheapest way to go to a game is snipe tickets the day of the game on SeatGeek. For a lot of games, you can get them for under $10. In St. Louis, there is something similar to the subway called the Metrolink train. There is a station 100 feet away from Busch Stadium below street level. Round trip fare is $5. You can also bring in food and unopened drink at Busch Stadium, so I can go for less than $20 per game. It's even less if you do the stadium pass, which is $25 a month standing room only for every game of the season. If you go to every home game, that's less than $7 per game ($160 dollars for 6 months of the pass divided by 81 home games, plus train fare).

I'm a huge Cubs fan, but live in Louisville, Ky. Cincinnati is only about 1 1/2 hrs drive, so we go to the Cubs/Reds games when they play in Cincy. I love Great American Ballpark and it is crazy cheap to go to a game. I get tickets for $12ish and parking is $10 right across the street from the ballpark. For my family of 5, we go for about $85 (that's only if someone gets a drink or snack. We usually don't). It's a super fun time! Btw, I buy tickets through a third party seller.

Although it's difficult @ Sloan Park, as the Cubs (& Giants) are the priciest tickets. We park at the Brass Tap next the Bass Pro Shops. It's free & there's a free shuttle provided by the city of Mesa or you could walk the mile to the stadium. Brass Tap has great happy hour specials on game day & a large selection of draft beer for your pre and/or post game festivities. Also my friends & family prefer the Budweiser Rooftop seats at Sloan Park. They're not cheaper than your bullpen area seats, but the views are nice, the bar is right there & the bathrooms have no lines.

Attending an MLB game can be on the cost prohibited side depending on a number of variable. I live just outside of St. Louis so I attend several Cardinals games each season. Depending on when I go to a game the tickets are dirt cheap. Like a Tuesday night game against the Padres or the Marlins. I can buy outfield bleacher seats right above the Cardinals bullpen for $6-$10. During the weekend it's between $10-$20. These figures are when I buy from StubHub. Also, I take alternative transportation. The casino across the river from St. Louis has free parking as well as access to a free shuttle or light rail transportation for $5 round trip. If anyone wants to go to a game and not damage the wallet, look into the alternative options for ticket buying (depending on if said team has a partnership with various outlets) as well as alternative transportation. Other than that, loving the content. It's good to know there is a ballplayer out there who has more true interests in the landscape of the sport other than getting that paycheck!!!
