  • Demonstration on how to use a sheet to move someone in bed. This technique is safer for the person being moved and is makes the task easier for the caregiver.

    I want to thank you for uploading this video. We have an idea that when we get ill or bed bound that there's going to be all this help available & there isn't. By the time you are eligible for a bit of help it's only because you've gotten that bad that you can no longer lift yourself up the bed. You then end up having to rely on short tempered & often cruel care assistants that are trying to move you quickly because they have to rush off to the next patient who's ended up bed bound at home. I'm talking about the 🇬🇧. This video now means that someone who genuinely cares about getting their loved ones up the bed or on their side can do it gently slowly & carefully by themselves.     Looks easy but very difficult when the patient cannot move at all.

      Yes it is still difficult, but the draw sheet makes it easier and prevents pulling on the person's limbs. Are you a caregiver for someone with ALS?

      @@JoeMartinALS my dad has cancer and in PAIN so it's a lot worse. He moves an in inch, he screams. So it's hard to change him ;(
