Just a cook passing by, butter all burned so use high smoking point cooking oil and add the butter later for flavor and you need to heat your pan higher to get a better sear on your chicken. Really good advice. I would also change a few things: 1. dip the chicken in an egg wash so the flour sticks better (also, season the flour with some paprika/garlic/onion powder, salt, pepper) 2. cook the chicken and sauce separately, then drizzle/toss a generous amount of sauce on top of the fried chicken when ready to serve so it's more crispy and less homogenous for a more interesting eating experience. 3. maybe fry up a few garlic chips to chop up and sprinkle on top of the chicken if you wanna get fancy. Yummy looking dish overall. Happy cooking!
A note for everyone: Add the butter towards the end, but if you still want to use butter then use clarified butter. The milk solids in normal butter will burn under the high heat.

Word of warning, this is more "delicate" than it looks. The scent of apple-cider vinegar makes me gag, to be honest. Which is a shame because I love pickled things. Does the vinegar taste or scent become overpowering at all in this dish? Or does the honey and soy sauce do a good job of masking the flavor enough for it to leave a sweet, yet robust tang?
Kinda reminds me of the time that my step dad gave my vegetarian uncle gravy that was made using juices from cooked sausages.. and still thought it was vegetarian, because there were no actual sausages in the gravy….

got something to add for your recipe, maybe try it: before adding salt and pepper, try massaging it with soy sauce til it got covered. then before dipping it into flour, crack some eggs then beat it, then dip the chicken breast to the egg before dipping it on flour. i promise it’ll add more texture and flavor.

Ma'am, another outstanding recipe, I use sourwood honey ( free with our honey bee boxes, but the honey is not sour & is sweeter than cloverleaf honey), also I add olive oil( you can use pure olive oil instead of extra virgin olive oil which is less costly than evoo) then butter as the butter tends to burn at higher heat in the pan, but won't if pure olive oil used first Some steamed frozen peas & browned cottage fry slices are perfect sides with a glass of sweet tea & a slice or two of lemon, I'm set for supper

Hey ! Cooking used to stress me df out as well and as a result I would only bake. But during quarantine I wanted to focus more on meals and so I started doing stews because you can really take your time with each step (except when the meat is on the pan ;p). It used to take me 2+ hours just to get the stew started and today it took me 30 minutes :D Good luck stranger !

Cooking isn't stressful. As long as you don't burn down the kitchen and you have food to eat, it's successful! Then the more you do it the better you get, and you can work up to timing all your parts to complete cooking at the same time.

It is one of those dinners that you are looking at going "mmmm" and then all the flavours are put in and even though they are simple, they are classics and they work well, will give this a try. "Something to make you smile" Today I picked up my son from school, 7 years old and he talked the whole 20 minutes, just talk, talk, talk...and I wanted him to stop, I really did because I do not think he took a breath. But then I thought, imagine if he didn't ever share his thoughts with me, all of his dreams and ideas...and it was such a comforting feeling...no joking, it made me happy to be his dad that he does talk to me
Thats one of my regrets in life tbh. My dad only spoke turkish (we live in germany), but since going to preschool I started „unlearning“ the turkish language (I still understand it but I cannot really speak it anymore without mistakes). I was never really able to speak to my father and convey everything I wanted to say in a manner that he understood. Now that hes gone, I‘m thinking about it more and more and really regret not speaking turkish. Would love to speak to my dad about complex stuff and not just usual talk. Well now I won‘t be able to ever talk to him again in this world. :(
Cooked this one tonight and it was delicious. I used Agave instead of honey, but would certainly make this again. It was very easy and even my picky daughter liked it!

Wow. Very nice. I think next time you sprinkle red chilli powder. ❤❤❤
I've made this several times before. It's very easy to make and absolutely delicious. Most times I'd use pancake syrup as a substitute and it comes out just as well. You can make it slightly more runny to have extra sauce that pairs well with rice :)
Do you have any dry replacment for honey? Thanks.
@@owner12 you can use any kind of sugar
@@jenniferquirk3485 I mean dry replacement.
Sugar is dry. As in; it's not wet. Do you mean not sweet? (ie. dry wine means not sweet. This usually only applies to alcoholic drinks)
@@amococ2487 @
Ahh, I didnt know that. Yeah, I mean "non sweet".
Word of warning, this is more "delicate" than it looks. I just made it and I am a very experienced home-cook, but I didn't pay enough attention and quickly messed up some parts and ended up with greasy separated mess with half burnt garlic. But the recipe is so damn good, it was still delicious. I will try again and be more careful.
Thats my fear If this is too much butter And oil And greasy…
then you need more experience as this is basic cooking, nothing fancy, just common sense and what goes well with each other.
use ghee (clarified butter) if needed. lower your temperature as well , you probably cooked to hot too soon.
@@Nedula007
Yeah. I was concerned about the high heat with butter. Anything above medium and I find it burns.
Still, I may give this a go with olive oil.
Different ranges have different temperatures. I'd imagine the range in this video has a much lower temperature than the one I use, as even medium heat would scorch butter.
Made it tonight for supper, it came out delicious. I made it a little more friendly for my wife's diet using sugar free maple syrup, reduced sodium soy sauce and olive oil. I will definitely make this again.
Just a small word of advice for the cook and those watching this video; try to use the back side of your blade to slide things on your cutting board. Sideways movement of the cutting edge will wear on it and cause you to have to hone the blade more often
I will be making my chicken this way from now on... when the wife allows me to cook in the kitchen. In 2042, I'll be making it exactly this way.
Lmao
PAHAHAHAHA
😂😂
Lmao..good luck with that
So waiting until the wife kicks the bucket, eh? Good luck with that.
I just cooked this recipe for my wife and son, and poured the left over sauce over my daughter's veggie patties, was a success! Everyone enjoyed it greatly! Thanks for posting it! :)))
@@Ivegotwormsinme masked but sour tang from the vinegar
Try to add a half teaspoon of grated ginger with the garlic
@@Ivegotwormsinme USE regular white vinegar. same thing probably
Kinda reminds me of the time that my step dad gave my vegetarian uncle gravy that was made using juices from cooked sausages.. and still thought it was vegetarian, because there were no actual sausages in the gravy….
My wife had hip surgery a couple of days ago. I'm going to give this a try tonight. Wish me luck. I just stumbled upon this channel recently and I love it. There are so many great chicken dishes that look relatively easy to make.

got something to add for your recipe,
maybe try it: before adding salt and pepper, try massaging it with soy sauce til it got covered.
then before dipping it into flour, crack some eggs then beat it, then dip the chicken breast to the egg before dipping it on flour. i promise it’ll add more texture and flavor.

Send me some honey😁
Do you sell your honey?

Cooking is the most stressful thing to me… never thought I’d find a video that brought me peace while watching someone else cook 💕 thank you !! I shall try this.
Hey ! Cooking used to stress me df out as well and as a result I would only bake. But during quarantine I wanted to focus more on meals and so I started doing stews because you can really take your time with each step (except when the meat is on the pan ;p). It used to take me 2+ hours just to get the stew started and today it took me 30 minutes :D
Good luck stranger !
wow, I didn't think I found this around here, it also stresses me a lot to cook, and this video gave me a lot of peace, how beautiful. Thanks to your comments I don't feel alone and they inspire me to cook hehe 🙌🧡
Cooking isn't stressful. As long as you don't burn down the kitchen and you have food to eat, it's successful! Then the more you do it the better you get, and you can work up to timing all your parts to complete cooking at the same time.
Same for my wife. Imo she tried to do to many things at once.
I tell her to slow down and just focus on the task at hand .

With the music this seems like the most solemn, introspective cooking experience of a lifetime. For some reason, I get your videos suggested to me. I never watch them, but I've noticed you 800 so delicious recipes that you cook almost every day...
