Genius songwriting and three brilliant musicains
I remember Sting mentioning this in an interview back when the song came out. I think he said he wrote it while sitting in the back of a pickup truck.
actually, it was the casio pt20
The PT-20 wasn't released until 1983 though, and the song was recorded in June/ July 1981. I double checked my archives of Electronic & Music Maker Magazine. and in the March 1983 edition they reported both the PT-20 and PT-30 as new models for that year. This also aligns with the List of Casio Keyboards wiki entry that states 1983 for the PT-20. The PT-20 also doesn't make an appearance in the UK Argos home catalogue until the winter 1983 issue. Unless Sting had time travel abilities, he couldn't have had a PT-20 in mid 1981!
@@CasioChaosTheoryMaybe they were touring Japan?
That’s not really ai. It’s the same as almost every 80s song using a arpeggiator as a bass.
Mr. Copeland's words, not mine!
Stewart used the phrase "in a way" for a reason.
