    I’m happy I just came across this video

    Interesting engine cover. Never seen one like that.

      I made it in a previous video🤙🏼

    So what was wrong with 8.2mm ones you originally used? Taylor lists the 8.2mm and 10.4mm wires for the hemi.

      @JesseBusse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not 100% sure but my best guess is the 8.2 can't carry enough voltage to the spark plugs as the 10.4 causing a misfires and other related ignition problems

      After researching it, appears that some in colder climates were experiencing hard cold starts and the 10.4mm seemed to fix that.

    If that's the case I can cut harness end off get the modern coil packs with the connectors and valve cover and do it that way

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My recommendation is getting the coil pack adapters that MMX sells🤙🏼

    Are you still running this set up today cause i have the same set up with my hemi with all the wires & just needa know before ordering

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just make sure you order the 10.4 mm wires and not the 8.4 mm like shown in the video and you'll be set

    Can I do this for a 2005 Chrysler 300 hemi 5.7 I took the wires off and mixed them up and I don’t know the order to put them back on and the diagrams i search up looks like rocket science

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it'll work but the best way to remember the factory wires is that they're 180 degrees out from each other (1&6)(8&5)(4&7)(3&2)

    How do you like it?? Still no problem with the shorty cables??

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I actually ended up having to upgrade again from the 8.2 mm in the video to the 10.4 mm in the description. The 8.2 couldn't care the proper voltage so it began misfiring, the 10.4 mm is great though!🤙🏼

    I was wondering about this set up and if I could just run the wasted spark back to the same cylinder that it was coming from. I am using the old wires and looping them around. Maybe if they are not to bad I can cut off the smaller booted end and shorten them to be shortys. And get some shortys down the line? But for now at least it works and there is no more "wasted spark". I don't even think it needs 2 spark plugs before. Just another emissions thing to rob horse power and make a car unreliable me thinks.

      Definitely! 05 was the only year that Dodge used this setup which shows they figured it out eventually too

    Hey would that work on a 2005 Dodge ram 5.7 two-wheel drive SLT

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  ปีที่แล้ว

      Does it have the same spark plug wires that cross the intake?

  • @PeterPedroA.Cintron-421Pc
    @PeterPedroA.Cintron-421Pc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Will this work on a 2005 Dodge ram 5.7L it's pretty cool the way you did your rig but you think that will work

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure if the ram has the same wire set up as the cars. If it does it should🤙🏼

      Thanks bro for getting back to me happy New Year to you and your family the thing is I called about the wires I can get them but they don't know if it'll work on my truck the way yours is set up my engine is a little bit different from yours but the firing mechanism of the spark plugs or the coils nobody knows if it can be used the same way you did your car I'm trying to figure out how to find out about the coil spark in spark plug spark

  • @crawdady504
    @crawdady504 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Will this work just hooking up the old wires to the same cylinder Der or do you need shortys?

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically yes, the voltage would probably be too low between the plugs. Plus the shorties are more meant to clean up the rats nest wiring, using the factory wires would be counterintuitive🤙🏼

  • @Error-vd1yo
    @Error-vd1yo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does this mess up the firing order?

    • @JesseBusse
      @JesseBusse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope, the firing order is built into the ECU which sends the spark through the harness

      I was wondering this myself. After reading on the forums how the 05 dual spark plug system worked and how they changed in 06 makes sense now. Keep the Magnum videos coming.

    Coulda ya just switch over to the newest style coil packs then

      @JesseBusse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can. Modern muscle extreme has a conversion from 05 to the new coil packs
