@@Stewbacca3 i have not, honestly it's something we need though. i've always been one to play the game slow and actually play with somewhat real mechanics and physics
@dabiff6587 absolutely. That’s the best way to play. It’s not a game for speed running! I’m making a video about the new driving academy which should be out soon
Yes I agree. There are so many potential controls in the sim that they really needed to do something but they have executed it brilliantly. Hope you are enjoying and have had the time to try out the new Driving Academy!
ATS will not be coming to console. SCS has said this over and over again. The reasoning is that it would require them to do a complete rewrite of the game.
One thing I want updated is - I want to be able to do maintenance on my trucks in my garages. If you look around in any garage, there are bays, tools, cranes for extracting engines and all other kinds of mechanical stuff - what is all that stuff for ?!?!? I couldn't even change the oil there if I wanted to. I can't understand the rationale behind that.
I think the reliance on mouse and keyboard for menu functions, screenshots etc is no longer required. This might be a sign that official VR support is coming soon
You have always been able to use your controller on the title screen. Its been a setting for a minute. An SCS has no intentions of going to console. Theh stated this in their last AMA on reddit. Too many buttons and controls for a console.
What I meant was everything in the menus can be done with a controller now. Prior to this update some keyboard and mouse input was required (according to SCS Software). I hear what you are saying about too many controls but MSFS is available on the Xbox.
@@Stewbacca3 I wouldn't worry about that. They have way too much time and money into PC. Plus they have a massive established player base. That will always be their primary focus. From what I've read, the company(SCS) has increased the size of their offices so what is more likely is they create an entirely new team to work on a future console move.
@@Stewbacca3 I wouldn't concern myself with that. I am a dual player meaning I play on both my PC and Series X. One thing I can tell you for a matter of fact is that every game that has ever been ported to console has never had full access to everything the game offers. It normally excludes console guys from fifty percent of the game and they/we will never get access to it. Weather it is because the owners of Xbox/PS keep them as closed systems, Developers just chose to not do it or whatever. However I can almost guarantee that a game like this would turn 1million dollars or more in sales nearly over night if ported so from a business standpoint they'd be foolish to not do it. Look at Microsoft Flight Simulator for example. For myself there are certain Simulators I have no choice but to be on PC to play like Cold Waters, ATS and IL-2, but I by no means enjoy sitting at my desk pecking on this keyboard which is why I dual play.
I tend to agree with you. I’m excited to see what the new developments will be that require less reliance on keyboard and mouse. Full VR support, perhaps?
I have a bit of a controversial comment, more of an outlandish request for an update and feature added. Probably 95% of the community will tell me to jump off a trampoline into a rose bush, but i think if SCS was able to put in a simulate option for some stretches of miles, like on the GPS menu we can click a start point and pick an end point were the game simulates the drive maybe you can watch it kinda on autopilot and speed it up, or fade in and fade out and you at the end point and the hours are added and fuel consumption deducted. I love playing the game but i have not allot of time so falling a sleep at the wheel late at night kinda bums out the ATS experience for me lol. Just a weird suggestion don't hate me for it please! Lol
I totally see the logic in what you are saying. Some players have hours to do long trips but for the players that are a bit pushed for time, the long drive can be a bit boring. For me, I love picking up the trailer and delivering it at the destination. The middle part I can take or leave. I think your idea is good 👍
@Stewbacca3 I'm the feel the same, i like being in town, maneuvering thru traffic, snaking through the back roads to find the pick up location baking in the docks. But sceneries are awesome out there on the open road i have to admit lol.
Exactlly!!! ETS2 and ATS was made to play it on A steering wheel.. (Like the Proper steering wheel Logitech G series, Moza or Fanatec) Not ot a fucking controller or keyboard... Its a DRIVNG SIM ffs... Not "Arcade truck Sim"
You were always able to navigate the menu with a Xbox controller or a wheel
Dynamic loading/unloading for flatbed or RGN trailers would be awesome to see
The animations for this would be fantastic. I hope they can make this happen!
this game has taken over my life the last 4 months
It just keeps getting better - have you heard about the Driving Academy update that’s coming for the next update?

They really blew the controller addition out of the water. This system works far better than I ever thought it would!!

That would be a lot of fun.
Highly doubt its coming to console. Game requires waaaaaay to many inputs
I play on Xbox now
I thought the same but if Microsoft Flight Simulator works on the Xbox then I think they could make this work!
@@Stewbacca3 flight sim allows you to touch the in vehicle buttons to activate stuff. That would be a major overhaul for the truck sims
So does war thunder, yet it's on console
Licensing and scripts are not allowed on console lol
Good watch. Best of luck brother!
Thank you. It's much appreciated to know you enjoyed it. I hope you check back soon!
It always had controller support ive been playing ATS with an xbox controller for years now

Pavel has actually talked several times in SCS livestreams about moving toward consoles.
You can use a keyboard and mouse on consoles. So that's not a problem.
No question about it. They are definitely looking to expand to the console market.
I think it is inevitable too. I just hope that they don’t take their focus away from the loyal PC fan base

Best we got is alaskan truck sim but that game could use some help
I already play on console
great news thanks stew
Hi Ash, thanks for watching. I appreciate your comments. Best wishes to you
You still need the mouse for the normal game menu this iaint controller friendly yet what is anoying as hell for sure when you runn in VR
I just wish they would bring official vr support
That would be great. I haven't tried on PC at all yet.
Anybody know how to remap buttons on controllers? Just got into this game and love it, but can’t seem to figure out how to change some inputs yet
Are they going to add fixed axel trucks
I haven't heard anything but I sure hope so
There are to many controls and not enough buttons on a controller so you can't open and shut the windows with a controller
You're back to premium content again Thank you for tutorials things inside the game, can we play again together, you and me, Ian and Kheyar & Ash
I'd like that - we should organise a convoy!

Massive update lol , still NO SEASONS
There are mods for the seasons which do an ok job
Who in the world like to play a DRIVING SIMULATOR with a controller ?? A 12 years old kid...ahhh, ok then.
It’s for when the sim is released on console

Im playing my ats and ets on my rog ally and yes i use the built in controller
@doomslayer6six6 what’s it like to play on the ally? I think that the game can be played quite well on a console.
