Those who speak English to their children instead of their own language are suffering from colonial mentality.What even annoys me these days,is how some will not complete a sentence in twi without mixing it with English.It is all Colo mentality.
Not easy teaching kids your language when you are the only one who speaks around them. You need to have people around you who also speak with them. Language is hard.

Our language is very important. It was only during lockdown that I realised my kids struggle with the Twi hence my TH-cam channel. I think I got time to actually listen to them. Now they try to answer me with Twi when I speak with them. What Abena is saying is true. I miss Ghana 🇬🇭 a lot. But we have good people like her in Norway 🇳🇴 my dad spoke a lot about how he was welcomed there by the whites. Good interview 👍 👏 Nyame nhyira wo paa.
