Theatre experience is sound and vision. Why you have to be keen on parking, ambience and all those amenities. One more doubt. If you have gone to Ragam of Thrissur you would have noted the Hall size but still you will not get that tunnel effect which you note while watching a screen. It is because of its Hall ratio. Have you come across such kind of screen anywhere?

ഈ ലിസ്റ്റിൽ ഉള്ളതിൽ ഏറ്റവും renovate ചെയ്തിട്ട് ഏറ്റവും പഴയ തീയറ്റർ AriesPlex ആയിരിക്കും. അതായിരിക്കും സീറ്റിൽ sound ഒക്കെ. എന്നിട്ടും ഇപ്പോഴും 2 ആം സ്ഥാനത്തു ഉണ്ട് എന്നതിൽ സന്തോഷം.. AriesPlex Audi 1 ആണ് കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ 4K പ്രൊജെറ്റർ (With Dolby Atmos). 7 വർഷം മുൻപാണ് അഞ്ജലി, അതുല്യ, ആതിര, അശ്വതി എന്ന് പേരുള്ള ആ 4 സ്ക്രീൻ complex നെ renovate ചെയ്തു 6 സ്ക്രീൻ ആക്കിയത്. രണ്ടു പടകൂറ്റൻ സ്ക്രീനുകൾ ഈ തീയറ്ററിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത ആയിരുന്നു. ആ renovation തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുകാർക്ക് ഒരു ചെറിയ നഷ്ടവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.
പണ്ട് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സ്ക്രീൻ അഞ്ജലി ആയിരുന്നു. അത് കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ അതുല്യ. ഇന്ന് കാണുന്ന Audi 1 അതുല്യ ആണ്. Complex ലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സ്ക്രീൻ ആയിരുന്ന പടകൂറ്റൻ ഹാൾ ആയ അഞ്ജലി renovation ഓടെ ഇല്ലാതായത് ആണ് നഷ്ടം. 1300 സീറ്റുകളോടെ ഉള്ള കേരളത്തിൽ ആ സമയം ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ കപ്പാസിറ്റി ഉള്ള ഹാൾ ആയിരുന്നു അഞ്ജലി.
അഞ്ജലി ഹാളിന്റെ വലുപ്പം മനസ്സിലാക്കണമാണെങ്കിൽ ആ ഹാളിനെ അവർ എന്ത് ചെയ്തു എന്ന് നോക്കിയാൽ മതി. ഇന്ന് അവിടെ കാണുന്ന തീയേറ്ററിന് താഴത്തെ നിലയിൽ ഉള്ള 2 നില Parking lot ആയിരുന്നു അഞ്ജലിയുടെ താഴത്തെ സിറ്റിങ്. അഞ്ജലിയുടെ ബാൽക്കണി യെ മാത്രം 3 സ്ക്രീൻ ആയി split ചെയ്തു. (അതാണ് ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ Audi 5, 6, 7).
എങ്കിലും ആ കുറവുകൾ Audi 1 (അതുല്യ) പരിഹരിച്ചു.
ഇത്രയൊക്കെ ആണെങ്കിലും PXL സ്ക്രീൻ അടക്കം ലുലുവിലെ PVR ഒക്കെ വരുന്നതോടുകൂടി Ariesplex നു പിടിച്ചു നിൽക്കാൻ പ്രയാസം ആയിരിക്കും ഇനി. 7 വർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞ സ്ഥിതിക്ക് ഒരു renovation ഉടൻ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം.
