I feel like every high end product I have ever tried feels this way because I have such high expectations when I’m spending 2-5x more than my drugstore products LOL
Of all the influencers I watch, you are the "make it work" woman. I like that you don't mind working with a product that is more affordable. As always, you look gorgeous!
I’m so surprised that people don’t like the nyx soft matte lip cream. I love how it feels on the lips. It’s so comfortable and they have such pretty colors and a really nice range of colors
I think that when something is SUPER hyped up, we have such huge expectations and they let us down... I feel that way about the ELF putty Primer lol I tried it and it was Fine.. but I was thinking " Oh ok, thats all..." lmao
Yeah like the Juvias place foundation, it’s so dry and chalky on the skin and almost impossible to blend out. But of course I bought it bc everyone was like omg it’s so full coverage and so many shades. Don’t waste your money. It’s not even that full it’s more high medium and finding your shade is pretty hard. They don’t look the same as what’s on the site.
Oh thank God I'm NOT the only one who only has that one "good week" outta the entire month cuz sometimes people don't understand me when I say this is my good week😂
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup YES! i know this is dumb but when my husband wants to plan something that has to do with us being around people im like, "uh, can you please plan it around the 2nd week of the month, that's my good week" and he just looks at me like ooookkaayyy🤔😕...🤣🤣🤣

The milani blush is actually my go-to for years. It is the only drugstore blush that stays on all day. And i actually like the eye primer too. And i have super oily skin and lida and feel like it works super well. It doesn't set right away though, and does feel oily when first applied, but even on mt super oily lids, it eventually dries down.
I adore Profusion eyeshadows. I have their Rubies and Mauves palettes. I've had the Festival palette, but it fell and broke. I did have a hard time with the Pro Pigment palette, but I love their little $5.00 ones. 😁
I love how the elf puddy primer makes my makeup last and fills in my pores. I work in a restaurant and if I dont use it my foundation is melting off but with that primer it doesnt move. So crazy yes everything doesnt work for everybody!! But I have a problem with concealers always being drying and cakey and all loose setting powders in general except the halo glow from elf but I have to use just a tiny bit. Pressed powders just work best for me.
the elf brow/lash mascara is my fave.. i have gone thru so many.. i like my brows to stay in place and this does it.. if you have a mascara that flakes use it on the lashes after you apply mascara to keep it from flaking :o)
I tried the miliani eyeshadow primer. It didn’t work out for my oily eyelids, probably kept my eye shadow intact a good 5 hours. I recently switch to the Nyx proof it eyeshadow primer. It keeps my eyeshadow in place a lot longer and have seen less creasing.
I've been using the milani foundation for the past 5 years and I love it! My skin is normal and slightly oily in my tzone, I love using hydrating serums, face oils and lots of moisturizer before makeup and I feel that's the key to any thick and matte foundation like the milani one. It has great coverage so you don't need to use a lot either.
I just found her channel but I been binge watching all her videos because she honestly keeps it real when talking about makeup products and she’s also helping a bishhh out on some drug store makeup recommendations ❤️ Thank you Jas 💕
The NYX or Smashbox Primer Oil with that foundation looks amazing! Also the NYX Born to Glow foundation mixed with the Milani 2-in-1 is GORGEOUS and does not feel cake or heavy at all! Jasmine your look turned out amazing as always,💕 try the foundation mixed with these products and see how you like it! I'm a full coverage kind of girl through and through and I absolutely love it

I was very surprised to see many of the products mentioned as they are some of my most used. You are always so positive and remind us that make up is to enhance, to have fun and can be different for others. I love that you also break down the products a little, recommend tools or techniques as well as mention skin type, life changes and hydration can all impact our look. Thank you for your great content. Thank you for encouraging us to test products, trust the process and support that some products are not everyone's cup of tea. Tfs Sarali ❤
I originally didn’t like the elf putty primer but I’m cheap and hate wasting things so I tried it with the elf jelly pop primer on top. It makes my skin look smooth and dewy ✨ When I don’t use that combination I end up hating how my base looks 🥴
I definitely agree with the Milani 2 in 1! You definitely have to hydrate a lot and use primer to have the foundation looking good. If you are even a little dry, the foundation WILL look cakey and gross. But if you hydrate very well, the foundation goes on seamlessly and looks great imo!
I think it’s really nice and kind of you to share why you think these products may not have performed well and how we can maybe work with them, instead of just saying negative things about the products ☺️
Yesss I 100% agree with your ending statements. Try the products more than once! I have done it before and I end up not hating products most of the time the 2nd or 3rd time around when switching application methods or primers etc.
the Milani 2 in one foundation is my favorite all time drugstore foundation , I can see why it would be heavy for others because it is full coverage , but I use it withe urban decay all nighter primer along with the Charlotte tilbury air brush finish setting spray and omg my foundation is so smooth and flawless doesn't transfer onto my facemask or my man lol :) I used to love a few things from the drugstore but I find that the primers clog my pores and the powders enhance my texture . I was always breaking out when I would use drugstore makeup. not saying all drugstore makeup is bad but it just doesn't work with my skin unfortunately. 😊
Mascara = for a falsie look, I use Loreals Telescopic Carbon Black... let it dry then use Lash Paradise... the results are unbelievable. ELF Poreless Putty Primer = it does nothing for my skin BUT I use it as an eyeshadow primer, which works wonders especially if your eyelids are oily, and I also use it under my eyes as a brightener ( I don't use concealer ) Best Velvet Matte Lipstick is Believe Beautys Velevt Matte Liquid Lip... it doesn't crack, wears all day, and if you want a lil shine, just add clear gloss.
I personally love when you include the photos like that because I appreciate being able to see the difference between the way your skin looks on camera and how it looks in a picture, I think in a picture is a better way to tell how it’d look in person
I think it really boils down to product interaction, skin type and sometimes personal preference. Makeup is highly subjective so you just won't know if you'll love it till you do lol. Super pretty look Jas💞
Milani blush is my favorite lol I’ve been using it for years!! I bought the revolution makeup “Roxi” blush palette and omg I freaking love it. The milani eyeshadow primer I’ve been using for over a year now and honestly can’t complain either 💙
I agree about the Milani Rose blushes! So hyped but so powdery and not pigmented enough, at least not the Coral Cove shade, it looks so pretty in the pan but very sheer on and it's hard to use as eyeshadow bc of the lack of pigment. I'm probably gonna end up giving it away bc the pan is so huge I'll never go through it. I like the Elf brow gel though, I always use clear brow gel and it's not my favorite but still good.
Hi! I thought it would be fun if you did a high end version of this type of video! Also, for those who don’t like the Elf putty primers...it’s best to pay them into your skin rather than rubbing it in. Patting somehow “ignites” the product and it will work well.
i think it would be cool to do a video like this and offer solutions!! like the nyx concealer maybe finding a setting powder that compliments it and doesn’t crease so product doesn’t go to waste
Oh no! 😬 I love that Milani blush! Coral Cove for my skin tone is the perfect ‘I’m naturally flushed because I’ve been sipping margaritas and playing beach volley ball all day’ look. Spiced Rose is one I’ve been eyeing too…
I'm really liking the simplicity of this look. I like almost all the products too, with the exception of the foundation, too heavy for me, and the NYX lip product, just didn't stay on. Love your opinion!
The milani foundation is one of my personal favorites! It’s one of those 50/50 products like you said but I think as long as you use a minimal amount it’s good!

that's crazy, I love the ELF putty primer soo much and the KISS lash glue!!! legit only ended up buying them because of your recommendations! always so interesting to me hearing other peoples opinions on products that are holy grails for me!
One of my many favorite drugstore bronzers is the Makeup Revolution 01 Cool Bronzer. It's huge too! But I also love No. 7 golden sand bronzer as well as the Milani Sunkissed. Those 3 are awesome for cool toned fair skins 👌 But for your skintone the Cool would not be a good match since you are warm toned so I'm suprised you didn't get 02 warm.
When I first tried the elf poreless putty primer I loved it but the more I used it the less I liked it. I think I was just so caught up with the hype and the idea of having smaller pores that I convinced myself to like it even though it was doing absolutely nothing to minimize my pores or to make my make up last longer
Interesting. I agreed with most of the duds but was surprised by the Elf Lash Mascara. I use this after the Elf Brow Wow but put in on just before I finish my makeup. It never hardens on me - maybe I don't put as much - and it, amazingly, makes my brows last all day. And I have about 8 hairs in either brow!
😆😆... Love you, Jas... You basically turned this video into "why you're doing it wrong", in the best way possible... You look amazing! 😁 To your last thought - I didn't understand why EVERYONE loved the 24H Fresh Wear from L'oreal. It looked so dry and clingy on my skin and I really don't have too many textured areas... But I tried a diff technique this am and it was sooo nice today! Super smooth and it did not budge or disappear on any spot at all! Also, the super full coverage Juvias foundation - HATED how that looked, but I saw Angie Nyquist say in a pinned comment that she used it as concealer and I loved it used in that way! Just gotta work around things sometimes ☺️☺️
I’ve seen sev ppl on YT say the putty primer is a dupe for the Tatcha, both Camo concealers are amazing, the Butter bronzers are amazing, & that Milani foundation is great. Rest of products I haven’t heard much if anything about. I bought the above to try. But like another comment said & Jas, it’s what works for oneself. I now use YT vids to see what products look like and if they may work for me if the person has sim skin type as me. Never anymore to buy something just because someone likes it. Love how you keep it all positive though Jas! ❤️❤️❤️
I used to use the Milani eye primer all the time but I have oily lids and lately it hasn't been working and actually making my skin on my lids feel dry. Another brand that hasn't been working for me is the Loreal mascaras, they have been making my lashes itch and hard so I don't use them anymore.
I would love to see a video on how to make your makeup look less cakey and flaky because I get flakes around my tee zone and that would be super helpful.❤️❤️❤️
That setting powder, bronzer and blush are my holy grails lol and I also love love poreless putty primer! I wasn’t using enough for a while and I didn’t like it but then I used more and I loved it!
It's crazy how different every person is when it comes to our skin and what works for us with makeup. See, I got the Elf Hydrating Camo concealer first and while it was okay I wasn't really impressed. Tried the original recently and I'm LOVING it. lol The Milani foundation was always too heavy, dry and almost chalky(maybe this is simply the case of the lighter shades from what I hear but still...). The Elf Putty primer is okay. There is a very slight smoothing effect but again, not anything that blew me away. Nothing like the hype suggested. Butter Bronzer I like more so for the smoothing texture on the skin but isn't a fave either. And I generally like Covergirl mascaras(another clump crusher fan here) but the wand on this one in vid just wasn't for me. Too messy. If I have a product though I'll still use it as long as it's doable, which most are. ;) Enjoyed watching this. :)
I love the Elf putty primer, but i’ve heard that the Hard Candy soft canvas primer is even better so I just ordered that. It’s supposed to be a smother silkier version of the elf primer. Mine gets here Thursday so i’ll be interested to try it out.♥️
I actually like using the elf clear brow gel as a hair fly away. Like if my baby hairs are going every where. I’ll take some of that and it’ll keep my fly always down. I carry it in my purse for that reason.
I feel like the milani foundation oxidizes ! I need to get a lighter shade! Also I usually mix it with a luminous foundation it makes it less Cakey. I have 3 of those profusion palettes and they aren’t bad for the price. Omg! I love nyx lip creams they are my holy grail! They don’t budge for me and I always get compliments. Especially that color u used is one of my fav shades! I just use it with a brown liner to show my lip shape more better
I used to use the milani 2-in-1 foundation but I had horrible acne back then and everything made me break out. That was like 3-4 years ago. And I noticed they have more shades now which is great!
Totally agree with the NYX lip products AND the NYX concelear. It was so bad I threw it away after two uses.Ugh All looked good on u beautiful, I do agree the bronzer was very muddy. Thanks for the work u put into making this video. 😊
Yea I like a lot of these products too! The nyx setting sprays are some of my favs and my elf luminous putty primer I didn’t notice glitter. I’ll have to look super close and check again!
I absolutely love the Milani eyeshadow primer. I started using last year after discovering Emily Noel. I have very oily eyelids and I can't use concealer for primer. Using the milani primer, my shadows last 12 plus hours with no creasing.
I’d love to see a high end version of this video! Because some high end products I’ve tried just weren’t worth the hype in my opinion
Will definitely do this!!!

Omg I literally remember you reviewing the Milani foundation YEARS ago! Love you Jas! 🤍
😆😆... Love you, Jas... You basically turned this video into "why you're doing it wrong", in the best way possible... You look amazing! 😁
To your last thought - I didn't understand why EVERYONE loved the 24H Fresh Wear from L'oreal.
I absolutely love the NYX liquid lipstick. Those are my absolute favorite!
Same
I’ve seen sev ppl on YT say the putty primer is a dupe for the Tatcha, both Camo concealers are amazing, the Butter bronzers are amazing, & that Milani foundation is great.
Why there’s always gotta be someone dislikin jas’s video? If you don’t like it, just leave. 🤬 Love you jas! ❤️
I agree
I love how honest you are and real love you ❤️
PREACHHHH about the only having one week!!! It's so irritating
I love the Elf putty primer, but i’ve heard that the Hard Candy soft canvas primer is even better so I just ordered that. It’s supposed to be a smother silkier version of the elf primer. Mine gets here Thursday so i’ll be interested to try it out.♥️
What shade is the Nyx lip cream u used? 😊
It's London or Abu Dhabi
The glitter shadow is a little much but the face makeup looks fabulous! :)
Can you tell me the color of the nix lip you used .Love it.
It’s shade abu dhabi. She has it listed in the description box 😀
When you said you smell everything I was wondering if you smell your food before you eat it? 💀 I smell everything too because I’m curious 😂
I do 😪😅
@@juicyjas omg I do too and my husband tells me I'm strange so glad to know I'm not the only one 😂
I love how super honest you are. I love your eye look. Too be honest, anything you use always looks good on you. 💜💜
The milani 2 in 1 foundation and concealer is my favorite foundation 😍😍😍😍
I think skills are important. I have seen good results with bad makeup when the person applying is good. I have cero skills even with good products. 😭
Milani foundation great but yes very thick. I use it in the winter time.
