It might sound strange but I love your at home or doing mundane tasks videos more than some big hyped up work video like going to another city. As a university student who's done with stress of assignments, mids and presentations I just love seeing a normal girl living an absolutely normal life in a country far from mine. It gives me confidence and peace I don't know how and why. One thing that really spoke to me in one of your old videos when I was new to your channel was you taking umbrella outside when it was raining 😅
It's strange but these little simple things makes me feel better.
You shouldn't feel bad for anything you are doing in your vlogs, just keep it true and honest.

My whole TH-cam homepage is literally videos of irrelevant things from 8 years ago. There is not one relevant, recent video recommendation. I never submit feedback or complain about stuff but I actually took the time to send feedback to TH-cam about this because it’s ridiculous. I feel sad for creators - I haven’t watched tv in probably close to a decade and I basically rely on them for my entertainment. Hope they fix the algorithm for you guys soon. ❤

Instead of the homepage, I always go straight to the “Recently uploaded” tab - this one seems to show me more of the people I actually follow and types of videos I like.
I'm really glad you're feeling better! But I'm also genuinely glad that you're willing to share some of those more "emotionally messy" weeks. We all have them, and I think it's just such a great thing to talk about them sometimes and normalize them through that. But I know it's not easy to do even with people you're close to irl, so I can't even imagine how much harder it is with an audience. So thank you! For sharing, and being authentically you - even when that looks a little messy, or more chaotic, or even just more mundane than "normal" for videos.
It's so strange watching your videos now that I live in Korea. Keep having to remind myself that I could actually go find the places you visit if I wanted to. This season has been difficult for me too, it's my first full winter here (I came at the end of Feb) and it'll be my first ever christmas away from home and family. The end of the year is a weird emotional time

I love your vlogs because as an American that has crippling travel anxiety as well as not having the means to travel to different countries, I feel like I always learn something. While your video may be a normal thing you would do in your day to day, as a viewer, I get to see sights that I will most likely never get to see in person in my lifetime and that’s just really special. I love your vlogs as well as your bookish content and just you as a person so thank you ♥️

The restrictions on tall buildings are probably why so many shots of Korea look so cozy to me. That, and the way it seems like there are always mountains in the distance, embracing the land.

Hi Cari! I hope you're doing well. I'm an inconsistent viewer, so I'm probably not helping much with your analytics lol but your videos always hit the spot whenever I'm sad or just need to feed my escapism for awhile. I love that even though I'm fickle, your videos provide the same level of comfort and familiarity each time I come back to them.
I think you shouldn't feel pressured to have an "eventful" or full day (although I'm so happy about your progress on the mental aspect of it!), because I love just seeing you read in cafes, do laundry, set up for your booktube videos, and other mundane tasks. I'm a slow traveller, and I think the best part of travelling is the "lulls" where taking it slow allows you to discover local bakeries, bookstores, etc. So your videos provide me exactly that kind of happiness!
I'm planning to travel Seoul with my best friend in the coming spring, and I have to tell you I'm more excited about eating a 711 triangle kimbap than going to Lotte World!

Great video. Enjoy your videos in general. I started watching your videos because I love books, culture and travel. I know very little about South Korea and watching your videos has moved it up on my list of places to visit considerably. I do struggle with understanding the flow of where you live in Seoul. Maybe like people that have never been to New York City and know little about it as for-understanding the layout,etc. When you showed the street and building from the office it helped as your apartment area looks soo different and maybe far from downtown? Yes, I second that!!! I even love the very „everyday not exciting bits“ because- as lovely as they are- I‘m here for the editing style, the music transitions, the view on life and the not exiting things are even more relatable. As much as I‘d love to go to cafes and explore as much as Cari - and I truly love her for the inspiration to do so in my own life + seeing Seoul), the sad reality is - I love vlogs where the „I have to do chores, I‘m spending hours editing/working“ IS the content, much closer to my own life 😊. So really- Cari, you win either way :D film whatever you like and what keeps you sane 😅

I have never read or watched The Hunger Games so I can't wait to hear. I totally understood " lumpy" it is gray and it hasn't snowed in days BLAH. I am so going to make an apple cinnamon tea like that YUM!
Oh i would definitely recommend them! Though it was a lot harder to read now as an adult who can clearly see that the dystopia in the books is not far from where real life is :/ The movies are all great too!
05:05 I went to a Korean coffee/bread shop near my workplace before and happened to sit across from the Korean owner and they gave us 2 filled buns! I couldn't afford to try it and they gave it for free. Very generous!

Dear Cari, as someone who's only able to visit Seoul once or maybe twice a year (due to work and other commitments), your videos feels like a warm hug. I've always missed Seoul and as much as it's everyone favourite place, watching your videos feels like I'm physically there too. My love for cafes and taking strolls, finding new places to visit or even going for an adventure, you make us feel like we're there with you and that's lovely. whenever you say you are sad about one of your videos not performing the way you hoped I feel guilty because I want to support you, but at the same I need time to sit down and really watch your videos (whereas other stuff can just run in the background, but yours are too precious for that). so I usually take a slow Sunday and binge everything I've missed up to that point. but I can see how it affects the algorithm.
I guess what I'm trying to say is: don't be fooled by the numbers, your content is great and highly appreciated!!!!
