We're not 100% shallow for 100% of the time but appearance is definitely the first thing we notice since we usually see another person before we get to know them. Women are the same way. The only time we would notice personality first is if we met them online without knowing what they look like. That's not necessarily shallow either it's just that we go on what we notice first.
