Dr. Jacob, why do you have such an obsession with Pakistan. There are thousands of videos making sense of Pakistan on TH-cam what's the need for one more. Instead, if similar energies will be devoted to Understanding China, both academic and general people will benefit from such discourse. Reason for that being our limited knowledge about Chinese politics even in the strategic community. Kindly note.

I have read her book, 'making sense of Pakistan'. Nice book. In fact only book in my view that analyzes partition in right way, that is through changing political order and narrative since fall of great mughals. Failure of indian muslims to come out of the narrative of islamic rule and superiority of muslims as rulers. 1857 took away even pretension of muslim rule and muslim elite remained in old nostalgia. Basically 'rassi jal gayi par aithan nhi gayi'. In india too no body analyzed partition in terms of changing narratives of political world order, from religious empires to ethnic nationalism. She is only one who gets right, roots of two nation theory.
