Homemade Lathe / Carriage Have Finished #6
New projects homemade lathes bed (second lathe)
Hello TH-camr, today I’m glad to share my new second homemade lathes.
I do happy to make a bigger size because my first lathe the size is a bit small, when milling a big plate of thick metal is not easy because the length is not enough space to milling than the plate metal I used is thin most are 10 mm thick.
So I decided to make a new lathe bigger than the previous lathe. Now there is enough experience to make a new lathe also.
I hope you all enjoying my new lathe from part 1.

You will have a good working lathe when done, the work you are doing with few small tools is amazing, waiting for the next video,Godbless
Thanks for your do like in this video I do hope you like other videos too.
I try my best it can and all of my channel videos if not show all made the equipment are can be the work that I started from the mini motor. Because the machine is priced over here kill impossible to buy. Now I am getting stuck on where to find out the gear rack and hear rail for the carriage. I am a countryside life. I love professional lathe.
Thanks again

For those tolerances you may consider a whetstone over a grinding wheel? It will definitely take longer but I think you'll be happier with the results. That being said you're probably about as tight as you'll ever be. Probably within hundredths of an inch. Good work! Welding and fabricating a solid metal bed with a good flat level ride is very hard to do but you've done a great job with it!
Thanks for your best introduction I will try my best as you mentioned.
@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 you do great work brother! I imagine the whole community comes to you for all their construction needs! Good business

Abraço e boa sorte com muita saúde e sucesso!!!
Nice show it
Thanks bro for all time
Hey mate, great work! Just wanted to say The heat will definitely make a bad cut, but the wheel on the grinder also vibrates and bends a lot when it's put under heavy stress. It may look like it's rotating straight but it isn't. You need a really thick metal blade on a chop saw, and a really slow pull with cooling periods, to get anywhere near a straight cut on steel that thick. Keep up the great work!

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 I understand. They are very expensive here too. For the carriage travel have you considered a long threaded spindle (like a car scissor jack) instead of a gear rack?
