Thankyou for reminding us of this lovely, classy gentle comedy. I vaguely remember this being shown on late night tv in Sydney in the mid to late 70s. Charles Gray and Margaret Leighton had terrific chemistry, and Lalla Ward was so pretty. Margaret had been diagnosed with MS a couple of years earlier but she was such a trooper and continued acting for as long as she could. Within about a year or so of this show (1973), she was unable to walk and passed away in 1976. She was honoured with a CBE in 1974. An actress of great class and style.
I was hoping they might have found a way back to their ancestral home in a To The Manor Born sort of way. A great series nonetheless. Thank you for putting it up🥂
