I love this ! I’m a senior citizen learning to make cards and this idea with the Christmas paper for cards is just what I needed! It something I can afford to make and I can’t wait to get started. You are an awesome and fun card maker. Thank you for sharing ❤😊
I just started to watch card making on you tube. I am glad to come across yours. The best so far. Never thought of wrapping paper. Great ide. Thank you for your great teaching videos. Stephanie
I so appreciate your attitude towards the accumulation of products. I know that you are in business, but you never make us feel like these are infomercials. That is why, when we are ready to buy, we head to your store. Thanks so much. Blessings in the upcoming new year!
What a fun idea....who doesn’t have a stash of beautiful wrapping papers...??? Always enjoy your words of wisdom, need those this year, Thanks so much! Merry Christmas!
I am watching this fun video a year later. What an amazing idea to use wrapping paper as a background. It could be used with any kind of wrapping papers for other occasions. And you do deserve time off. Have an awesome holiday season filled with much love and joy.
Goodness, I sure enjoyed the helpful advice and usage of what I already have i.e. an abundance of wrapping paper! Although there are other card-makers I follow on TH-cam, no one makes me LOL like you do! Today's favorites: Tom's new camping boots and our personal weather systems! Keeping it real, sistah!😁
Gina, I saved this from last year because I wanted to use these ideas THIS year and I knew I wouldn't remember all of them. Now I can't wait to start them! Thanks for the great ideas! Victoria Keppler ☃️
You are beautiful inside and out, thank you for sharing your ideas. I’ve done this before. I’m addicted to toy story, it’s my favorite movie, toys, anything really. So one of my girls bought the cutest toy story wrapping paper, I loved it and didn’t want to see it thrown out. It was on a huge gift so I grabbed it before it was wadded up and thrown out and used it to make tons of kid cards. They turned out great and sooo cute.
Hi Gina, I came across your video today on using wrapping papers for cards. Watching your video reminded me that I have a lot of wrapping paper that my mother bought but she would forget she had any and would buy more....you can never have too much wrapping paper?! and of course never got to use it. So I actually paused the replay and went to pull them out and see just how useful they might be. I think I have enough paper, wrapping or otherwise to last me at least a couple of decades for both cards and scrapbooking! I did use wrapping paper for cards when I first started getting into card making, particularly when I couldn't afford to buy the beautiful designer papers like Kaisercraft and others. I enjoyed watching you make these beautiful cards and was glad to see there was someone else who had thought of using wrapping paper for cards. Thank you for a great inspiring video.
I don't comment a lot on your videos Gina, but i do subscribe and try to remember to like them all. i wanted to take a moment to let you know how much i always enjoy them. I love your designs--they are just my style. And i really love your sense of humor. I hope you and your family have a safe and healthy and fun New Year! I'm looking forward to your 2021 videos!
You never cease to amaze me that your cuts are always even and you just layer them w/o having to reposition! I make odd size envelopes from wrapping paper. Even made one for a Christmas card a couple years ago out of a napkin that matched the card I also made with a napkin. Was so very pretty! Love watching your demo's! Thank you for sharing. LOVE these cards! Especially the one w/the tree!
Gina and Tom-- Thank you both so much for devoting so many hours to our enjoyment. You both are so kind (and funny) and have helped to make this year a little more tolerable. You are greatly appreciated!!
Thanks Gina, this is a great video! I love all your cards, but think the tree is my favorite. I can't wait to play! Thank you so much for all you share!
Oh my gosh I am just discovering you!!! WOW! Fantastic! I have been doing mixed media art for six months. I love how you are introducing your products and the die cutting. I’m psyched! You have a wonderful Christmas this year..... one year later. ⛄️🎄❄️ THANKS AGAIN-- I think I’m hooked!!
Gina, you are simply amazing at doing these so simple and beautiful greeting cards. I love it because yours don't give me a headache as some of the cards out there with so many decorations things. I also used to make greeting cards but I used to paint them and I have all tools to open a business, but since my husband passed on I lost the whole interest in doing anything creative as you do beautifully. Congratulations and thank you so very much for your videos.
Merry Christmas Gina, Tom, Alicia and Rina! So glad you are taking some well deserved Family time off. You will be missed. Thanks so much for doing all of the lives this year, they have definitely been a bright spot and I have learned so many fun techniques!
IMG! That Christmas tree wrapping paper on the ivory card stock is sooo elegant. I love to sleep with my windows open, with no heater and plenty of blankets, in the winter time. Sleep like a baby. I also live in central Florida, not in snow country. Love the two of you. Thank you for all you do and share.
@@kathleenbowen154 . I don't have an educated answer for you but I would imagine any double sided or tape runner would work. I am pretty sure that Gina K's tape runner would be perfect. I can't get to my wrapping paper at the moment to try it out. I am too old to pass out presents now. I only give money. So I have not been able to give this technique a try at this point in time. I would not use wet glue though because it will probably wrinkle your paper.
You’re a true designer, creating resourcefully and reimagining existing materials. This is an art and not everyone has that innate ability. Love this card, I’m off to rummage through my wrapping paper, because I do love to be consistent with a gift’s theme so I can have the envelop, tag, gift wrap and card all coordinate now in a jiffy!
Hi Gina, I am sitting here today in England with a raging tooth infection, and am on antibiotics and painkillers etc needing to cheer myself up. So I am binge watching some of your videos I haven't watched before, I know, how terrible is that - though I have watched most of them ha ha. I am watching the making cards with wrapping paper videos, OMG you have me wanting to go out and purchase a load of WP now hee hee. Perhaps the weekend, I will be feeling more human. Thanks again Gina, as always, BRILLIANT tutorials. Linda x
I never thought of using wrapping paper! I'm watching the replay and I'm resisting the urge to go out and buy some more just for card making, lol. Oh, the possibilities! I got so hot last night that I turned on the fan. My husband has gotten so used to my hot flashes and the need for cooler air that her actually prefers a chilly room to sleep. I have really appreciated and enjoyed all the time you've both spent putting these together for us. I hope you have a wonderful and safe Christmas holiday 💖 🎄🎁
Gina, I use an old soft toothbrush to gently brush over the front and back of sentiment die cuts to help remove the "shreds" of fibers from them. I love how you used wrapping paper to create your lovely cards. I have done that and also those cello gift bags to make unique cards! Everything I look at I try to imagine how to use it for cardmaking or mixed media projects, and sometimes I do a crossover of both together on a card.
I have been using wrapping paper for card making for years! I always shop after Christmas for the heavy weight paper (usually more expensive) that is on sale for huge discounts. This paper stands up better for cutting and embossing. I do this with nice birthday or floral paper that can be used throughout the year. Thank you for sharing the idea of using more than one paper!
Thank you so very much for your generosity in sharing your craftiness with us. Through the years I’ve learned so much from you. You make such lovely cards and to let us copy them is just awesome. You have a very sweet spirit. Merry Christmas to you and your family. May Gods blessings continue to bless you all. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. ☺️
Thanks so much for the ideas. I will never look at wrapping paper the same way again. No matter what the season😉. I think the little snowman would look so cute inside a shaker card. Have a wonderful Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
YAY Gina! Once again, a VERY COOL IDEA! I’ve “thought of this technique w/wrapping paper” but have never done it! So it was “very inspiring” for me to “see the idea come to life”, and with such FANTASTIC DESIGNS! :-). Great way to use up some of those smaller “saved” wrapping paper pieces, too. Love how the card n wrap go together so nicely, too! What a PERFECT “gifting” presentation! This is WONDERFUL for “other kinds of wrapping paper n’ occasions”, too, such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Graduations, Retirement, etc! After-Christmas/Pre end of season sales
I agree the red flower is an Amaryllis - and they are sold here in MN in winter. They make a lovely gift if a student wants to give something to a teacher or mentor. Regarding hot flashes, no alchol, reduce carbs, and no caffeine after lunch. That helps me a lot. Happy New Year!
Love these cards! Who would have thought? I see how those basic die shapes make things so much easier. Thanks Gina! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Dear Gina, Wishing you, Tom, Rina and Alicia a wonderful Christmas and a great 2021. Watching your Stamp and Chat Live in 2020 has been wonderful and very entertaining. Thank you for sharing your craft and your family with us. Looking forward to seeing what wonderful things you come up with in 2021. As always your cards are amazing.
Gina, this was my first time catching one of your lives! You are an amazing crafter and, your on camera presence is so warm and your cards at so drop dead gorgeous! Loved it❤️😀
Loved them all, but the snowman took my heart :) Merry Christmas to you, Tom, Alicia and Rina. You have had quite a year with your video's, your store and everything going on. You deserve time for Christmas and New Years just as we all do. God bless you all.
Believe it or not, I used to watch you when you still had short hair! Then I lost you for a while, but I'm back now and you don't look a day older.. Love the wrapping paper idea!
I'm so glad I am not the only one that cannot cut straight!!! Merry Christmas Gina and Tom! Thank you for all you do for us. You are so talented and so very genuinely sweet and kind!
......here in Germany we liked red Amaryllis at Christmastime...... sorry, my English is not very good..... You are never too young for hot flashes:)...I started at 40. What a great idea for cards! There is some gorgeous wrapping paper. Such a shame to end up throwing it out!
Hi Gina & Tom. Thank you both for all the video's you have done for us through the year. wishing you both a Merry Christmas and enjoy it with your family, Cheers Anna.

I'm always looking at wrapping paper as a possible card making background. Glad I'm not the only one. All of your cards are just incredible. I now want to make some even though I finished mine and sent them off weeks ago.
Gina. You're an amazing crafter. Thank you for all you do. Wishing you and your family a blessed and safe Christmas and A Happy and Healthy New Year. 🤗💖🤗💖
I'm watching 11 months later, but It's nice to meet you Gina! My sister in law from MN loved your designs and products! She taught Classes for 20 years. I love the Poinsettia card
I have always been impressed with your ideas and creativity, but you have outdone yourself by using wrapping paper, it opens doors to more possibilities, ty for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and your family, stay safe. see you in 2021.
This was a wonderful Idea. I cut out a piece of plastic the same size as the wrapping paper for the card so I could get views on what to select for the card. I've already made my cards for this year, but made several using these tips for next year. I have plenty of wrapping paper as well.
Kirkland facial tissues are coming in some beautifully decorated boxes I’ve used as a background on several cards. I enhance them a bit but they turned out great!
I love the idea that wrapping paper can be used to make a beautiful card. Thank you.
I love your transparency about your designs being free to emulate. TY!

You are an awesome and fun card maker.
Thank you for sharing ❤😊
I'm turning 70 and I so remember those 'hot' nights. I wouldn't trade a day as I've earned every, single minute of my life! Merry Christmas!
I loved my paper dolls. Making clothes for them, the beginning of stamping and die cutting.
Going down stairs to the wrapping paper stash.. Love this idea. Thank you Gina K!!

Hi from Canada. Love making cards with wrapping paper.
I was old enough to remember McCall Magazine and the paper dolls they had in monthly issues.
Beautiful cards. Thanks for the inspiration.
I’m watching you for the first time and think this video is a year old. I will be watching A LOT more of your videos. These cards are beautiful!!
I just found you and I want to THANK YOU! Finally someone making cards out of items at home!
Gina, I saved this from last year because I wanted to use these ideas THIS year and I knew I wouldn't remember all of them. Now I can't wait to start them! Thanks for the great ideas! Victoria Keppler ☃️
