The mids on the partybox ultimate are more pronounced and detailed while the highs and lows on the partybox 1000 sound more precisely tuned. Deciding which option you’d prefer in a speaker is better than just the build quality in my opinion.

Definitely don't play that on any cheap speakers. Keep at lower volume. I played it at around 40% on the Ultimate and it was crazy. @Chameleon7798 You can use the Daisy Chain with a 3.5mm cable to connect them together. However, when I tried this, it did not sound good. There could have been an issue with the 1000 since the box was a little beat up when I got it. Also, I don't believe it requires a special cable, but I could be wrong.
I own an ultimate and honestly I really didn't thought it was that bassy till the neighbors call the cops on me because my house was apparently shaking 😭 I guess if it's on the open you won't hear it has much but if you stick to the wall you can acually feel the bass and vibration which is crazy 😂. Keep in mind I live in a big house which really shocks me.
I paired my old PB1000 to my newly purchased PB Club 120 (got it for only $200 with promos & discounts online) and my god the bass vibrates every room in my house even the 3rd floor. If you already have the PB1000 just add the new PB120, easily beats the PB ultimate! Just use a long 3.5mm to rca and you can place them far apart, making the bass even deeper, mids & highs dynamic and powerful!
I love the JBL partybox ultimate. The bass was crazy but JBL did a software update and the bass isnt there anymore. JBL put a governor on the volume once it gets to a certain volume it turns down the bass way lower than it used to be. When i first got it i would turn it up halfway and the whole house would shake. Now after the update not even close. Get rid of the restriction of bass on this update. Please.
I figured it out. It was me not the update. The new presets like JBL Signature JBL Movie etc. are crap presets, just go to custom and crank them ALL up and back to normal house shaking, walls falling and cops visiting. Lol
Yes, you can if your phone has software with an equalizer. I use the Musicolet software; it comes with a 5 band equalizer, which makes the Partybox 1000 sound way better, in terms of clarity!

That 12" in the 1000 is nice. It will sound louder on a hard floor rather than carpet. And you can definitely feel it. But the 2 x 9" on the Ultimate can definitely still drop some bass.
@Indian_Speaker_Guy I don't think I will get another 710 but I can say the Ultimate is top dog. Then close between the 710 and the 1000. But the 1000 still wins over the 710.

Once I added a Qudelix 5k Bluetooth receiver connected to the line in and adjusted the EQ, the 1000 sounds better compared to my ultimate, that compression tweeter with female vocals on house music is just amazing and can easily keep up with the bass

Bass boost 2 is better for kicking your chest not so quality sound on the other hand ultimate while is on the deep mode is harder to hit the chest due to the lows 30hertz.
I have one right now and am checking it out. It's not horrible. I can say that, and it's currently on sale. It gives more than I would have expected for sound and comes with a tuner. If I do the review, I will update this comment with the link.
Based on what another commenter posted stating the last Ultimate update made it sound bad without adjustment of the EQ, makes me think a new version may be on the way 🙏.

I have both the 1000 has better sound. Bass is better and the compression tweeter is better than the ones on ultimate.
What a grear price. The 1000 has many cool fearures and is a good choice.
I have both and even from this video you can tell the ultimate is much cleaner and more clear sounding. the ultimate is better in every way period.
