Private Kent Beach. Sandwich Bay in Kent.

Sandwich Bay is a rural beach on the East Coast of Kent between Deal and Ramsgate about 2 miles from the historic Cinque Port town of Sandwich. The land is private and owned by Sandwich Bay Residents Ltd
There is a steep shingle beach towards the south of a long sandy bay adjoing two world famous links golf courses. At low water there are large sand flats. Towards the northern end of the beach Sandwich Bay is separated from the Isle of Thanet by the River Stour estuary, where the Pegwell Bay nature reserve and salt marsh can be found. These coastal habitats are of very high ecological importance.
It is popular amongst Ramblers, Sun Bathers, Dog Walkers, Fishermen, Kite Flyers, Bird Watchers and Sailors amongst others. This is in part due to it's quiet and secluded location.

Don't have to pay a toll if you're on a bicycle pal. Only motor vehicles.
