As much as I would LOVE a fifth film and have been wishing for one, Road Chip was definitely the final installment of this franchise. The creators of Alvin and the Chipmunk are focusing more of their energy towards the ALVINNN Nickelodeon show. Also, Road Chip had the perfect ending, of (SPOILERS) the Chipmunks and Chipettes writing a final song of them (which is literally the best song they’ve ever performed upon the four movies, and it’s an original song!) which leads Dave to officially adopting the Chipmunks.
