      Idk why but the sims games in the early 2000 always had different story lines or games if it’s on a different game console. Sims 2 on the pc was your classic start a family build a home plot, on Playstation 2 it was an actual story line where you complete missions and travel to different places, and then sims 2 on the DS was an even different storyline with missions lol idk why they did it like this but hey 🤷🏽‍♀️

    • @PajamaFeet
      @PajamaFeet 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@Kayla-hs9rt I read somewhere it’s because they were all developed by different teams. Like basically the title was handed off to whatever team worked in that console and I guess they weren’t worried about a standard gaming experience. But like!! Could have saved me all the disappointments of buying DS Games that were nothing like the cool console games I saw videos of 😭

    It's funny the last Sims video I watched slightly mocked this game for being too basic and a weird and clunky spin off with not enough "Sims"... But for me, as a kid, this game was awesome. I loved this one and I think I came back to this Sims on PS2 more than the others at the time... I have no idea what it was, but I feel the slight storyline style and more focus made me enjoy it. Plus the fact you feel like you're building yourself up and becoming a famous badass... Not the best Sims, sure... But a great spin-off...

    i swear, you have uncanny timing, i was literally JUST about to boot up my ps2 to play this again right before you uploaded, and i was playing sims 2: castaway when you uploaded that! thank you for giving attention and tribute to my childhood games. i really like ur channel. i remember i used to play this like, religiously every day because it was the only sims game my family could afford (i couldn't get the PC sims 2 game, which was really fancy at the time to me). one day the disk got scratched and it broke my little heart. i still play this so much to this day and it means so much to me! ALSO, i obviously didn't realize some of the double innuendos/meanings behind some of the slang and culture because i was just a little kid lmao so coming back to it was certainly an experience

      Yessss omg Im brazilian and I remember playing urbz everyday with my bestie when we were around 9, the game wasnt translated to portuguese so every progress we made was based on intuition (talking to other sims). We had no idea about the machines and the skills and the list of objectives so we basically came to a point where we were both level 500 and the game was levelling us DOWN purposefully because we wouldnt do nothing other than socializing 😂 we never beat the game

    Old sims games were great bro. Even the ones on Gameboy were awesome. Each one was unique in its own way

    I loved this game as a young kid. Its not a traditional Sims game but it was still really fun in its own right. It added some depth to The Sims while keeping the same basic concept. Tbh, I think they made this game to expand their future audience. The older we got, the more we wanted to just play the traditional style Sims game and build houses and make money. This game has a few more elements geared towards kids which was very smart on EAs part. They did a good job though and locked me in for life because now as an adult, I enjoy the current style of Sims. Even if it generally catches some hate, it had its place and did a good job of what it set out to do.

    When I played this game as a kid I could never mash fast enough on the skill machines, ended up just housing in the districts to dodge rent.

    I love your sims final fit. I was like you making your own style from all the districts.
