Nextion uses uart, so you can use it in the same way with any mcu.

Actually i have the basic model, which doesn't play videos.. so nope..

nextion displays must have an hdmi output for reflecting them to lcd screens. and also they must have an usb input to control them with a mouse. otherwise they can not take effect in automation industry.
