Ohooo - that is so cool that you got to go to the Mill where the GBSB is filmed! That cardigan fabric is awesome. Those fabric shops are wonderful too. So much sewing fun. Hope the trousers fit perfectly.
Oh Loriann and when I was filmed the building with the studio ... I managed to forget to turn the camera on! one of the main reasons for going to Farsley!!! xx
How I miss those beautiful fabrics shops. I live in semi rural Queensland, only have 2 large chains,so miss some of those beautiful unique fabrics . Beautiful choices of fabric and I don't think I would have had your restraint.💜💜
I’m in Queensland too and we really don’t have the choice and variety they do in the UK. I’d love to go on a buying holiday with no budget. I can dream. 😊😊
Thanks again for an enjoyable video. I’m going to attempt to start sewing a duster coat this weekend with some fabric from The Dahlia Sewciety. Cant walk the dog it’s been raining on and off for ages and more this weekend. Enjoy your sewing☺️☺️☺️
Thank you for taking us on your shopping trip. So lovely to see your way of life there in the mother country. So different than going to Joanne's here. The creme bubble fabric for your cardigan is gorgeous & the tulips make me smile too. ❤
Hi Judy what a lovely day you’ve had love all the fabrics you got especially the fabric for your cardigan can not wait to see them all done happy sewing Dawn xx
How lovely, what a super day you had. I went to a craft show today with a purpose and a budget. I bought 3 pieces of fabric and used all my budget apart from a few pence. Then...... I spent another £10 on some very pretty pattern weights. They were on my nice to have list, so I do not think that I did too bad
@@runningsewandsew isn't it just? Plain bottom weight fabric, not black or navy was my main aim. But then I bought a floral rib jersey on a whim because I thought it was beautiful (not used my lilac BTPD jersey yet!) and some cotton linen mix because I had never sewn with it! You have to try new fabric types - right 🤣
Judi I would have bought everything in Lucky Fashions 😂 it’s a shame that Mill Creations weren’t welcoming they are missing a trick there. Love that you’ve got plans for all of your fabric 🥰
I love watching your videos. I finished a Nick's top today, another garment that doesn't fit or flatter, think it's about time to give up. 50 years ago when I was a slim teenager I made all my clothes, now I can't seem to succeed at a single item😪 I'll still watch all the sewing vlogs but with sadness because I can't sew successfully.....
Oh please don't stop, may be make a simple top like the Donny Top from Friday Pattern Company or the Remy Raglan top by Sew House 7 - both more simple tops xx
@@runningsewandsew thanks for your encouragement. I did make a Florence Boxy Tee from Size Me sewing last year that fitted, maybe I should just make another one of those. I like the Donny Top pattern, think I should bite the bullet and just buy it. Funnily enough I bought the Remy Raglan pattern, sewed it beautifully, was so proud of the finish and execution.....but it was an inch too small!!
Re measure yourself for each make and check the actual and finished measurements. Which show the ease. Don’t be fright to grade between sizes - you can do it xx
The fabrics you've bought are lovely. Why not make the off white fabric into a channel type jacket or a kimono style.I don't think the waterfall patterns will suit the fabric as it is embellished I think it won't flow especially when it's lined. You will also see the lining with the waterfall design. I love the colours in the fabric for the Saltwater slip dress.
The sparkly cream fabric is lovely Judi, there is a style arc pattern which is similar to your pattern, from memory it is The Fiona, it makes up really nicely.
Oh thank you Sheila and thank you to you and your husband for your kindness yesterday, Pam and I were chatting about you all the way to our next stop. I'll be back. Im hoping to cut out the slip and the cardigan this weekend xxx
It was a super day Judi (and a great decision on our part - if not for Poppy and Maggie - they would have loved Hugg-a-mug (next time maybe)). I think a visit to Manjit may become an end of term treat for us both 😆. Cannot wait to see the completed outfit (and have you decided what the surprise fabric will be?) ❤️
Judy, in one of your previous vlogs, you mentioned a t shirt pattrrn, that you like, and that it is free.I have not been able to find the vlog, can you possibly tell me where I can get this pattern. Thanking you in anticipation x.I have to say how much I enjoy your vlogs.
Hi Judi I’ve been struggling to keep up with all of the sewing TH-camrs of late as there are so many new ones. I have thoroughly enjoyed this one and your tulip fabric is stunning. You are looking fabulous, love your hair 😊
