I often run hundreds of Dante channels even on smaller productions since it carries everything for me along with NDI for my entire work flow. This is essentially UniFi 2.0 for me!
the a/v support is nice..but renaming the default non tagged vlan was present in the old interface...this has been a long standing regression they finally fixed.
I wonder if this means they will finally add UDP Relay so SDDP will finally work across VLans. The only reason most AV integrators are stuck using either pfSense or Pakedge routers is because of the multivlan support required for Control4, Crestron, Sonos, Casting etc from separate vlans
Hey, love your videos, I agree, renaing your default network was lont overdue on new but possible on the old UI - I'd rather see enhanced network and error logs on hosted and they removed traffic identification by device which was dead handy!

I just hope the hardware is in the new PowerAmp model that can make it into a "Dante Device" where you can map what channels get routed to it directly from your Dante controller. That way we can use it as endpoints for sending audio to the speakers. That is the purpose of a network amp after all, but so far we have only really seen it advertised as using an app to control what is playing on the Amp. Allowing the PowerAmp to show up in a Dante Controller for picking audio channels would be so nice of an integration for it and their new switch options.
Apparently "released in the future". I can't even do capture on the U6-Lite even though it's listed as compatible, because the latest firmware doesn't meet the requirements. It's like saying "hey you can do it.... actually no haha you cannot"
I noticed that in your security you have specific countries listed, do you have a video on how to do that? Or can you point me to a video on how to do it?
Just be careful who and what you block. Many things route through AWS servers which can be anywhere, and a lot of hacks may come from countries like Ireland so you may be temped to block that, but really those are just routing through Ireland based AWS servers and if you block it then a ton of stuff will fail and you wont understand why. Or there may be a lot more services in Russia than you think, such as download servers. Or if you block China then suddenly a lot of popular apps on phones will stop functioning like many games, shopping, and social apps. Additionally, if you block a country and are playing a multiplayer game and it is trying to matchmake you with a player from that country, the matchmaking can take a long time (depends on the game) and eventually fail out and cause problems in the game too. So just be careful with country blocking

U6 Lite’s require 6.7.1 or later, most recent available version (Even EA) is 6.6.77. 6.7.1 I guess isn’t out yet (same with Unifi OS 4.1, which is what is preventing BGP support from rolling out, ugh)
I did a simple packet capture on a U7Pro AP. I downloaded a TAR file. I can see you did the same. But WireShark (Windows refuses to read the file). I have tried both directly on the TAR and on the unzipped version (using 7-Zip). Strange. Wireshark says the file is not in a format that Wireshark understands. How did you view the capture file?

Looking into the file it is very binary. Wireshark says format is unknow. I have tried to give it extension .pcap, but that does not change anyting. Hmm.

My UDM Pro updated to 8.4.59 at 2:05am this morning, then the UDM Pro doesn't want to connect to the Internet any longer. Rebooted Modem and UDM Pro, even did a Reset To Factory and it still doesn't obtain an IP. Friggin Unifi can't get anyone on Ubiquiti Live Chat while trying to open a Support Ticket as a Business User. If you have any hints on how to contact Unifi please let me know as now the UDM Pro is useless and using my Cell Data to connect my SMB to the internet and continue to work on client's projects.

Blocking channels on optimisation is huge for Home Automation!! I never use this as i don't want the wifi network overlapping with my Zigbee/Mattter networks
Why why why they not add another display which only shows the given device name. So much "fancy" shit but still i need a brother p touch to label my devices. 😕
Please note for Pro AV the firmware is still EA but was shown in the latest UI video which is why it was shown here it requires firmware 7.1
Pro AV is available from Pro Max and up. Does not show up on my Pro switches.

Packet capture doesn't appear on my U6-Pro's. I have FW 6.6.77.

How do you send all of a VLAN’s internet traffic thru a VPN tunnel except for access to the local LAN devices? Can’t figure that out in latest update.

Updated my self-hosted Unifi Network to 8.4.59 and using a U6 Lite. The option for packet capture is not available.

You should be able to double click the file and extract and see a format for wireshark that’s how I did it

For that AP it needs to be firmware version 6.7.1 or newer ( Which is still EA) the U7 firmware has been pushed to official
