I’ve been trying to find this song for ages now. I could remember the melody and that the word “Caribou” was involved but all searches kept throwing up The Pixies. So damn happy I’ve finally found this song again so I can listen to it properly 😊
Sounds like the main character is on the run, about to be caught by the authorities, he is finally caught, and at last receives his due - as all the forces of organized society crash upon him, his fate is just, but nevertheless embittering. Great stuff
Some of you all never been down South too much... I'm gonna tell you a little story, so you'll understand where I'm talking about Down there we have a plant that grows out in the woods and the fields, and it looks something like a turnip green. Everybody calls it Polk salad. Now that's Polk salad. Used to know a girl that lived down there and she'd go out in the evenings to pick a mess of it... Carry it home and cook it for supper, 'cause that's about all they had to eat, But they did all right. Lyrics work great with this...
@@RayasNegroOvejas I checked out Can based on your comments and am sure glad I did. Fantastic stuff! And I can definitely hear the connection between Mother Sky and Carobou Bees. And Stereolab for that matter. Actually when I first heard Bees I automatically assumed it was early Stereolab.

Then their captain says: Join us for intelligence or rot in a cell, you choose mate B/ ☕
I think that’s what the song is supposed to represent. Someone doing a highly risky thing while avoiding authorities.
Very good song for concentration
you inspire me, thanks a lot for sharing the album !!!
This is so good, how did I sleep on it ?! Why does the world sleeps on it ?!
because its so much better than your average mattress....
the best is when the 2 drummers syncopate for this......live is incred!! Thanks Dan!!
Something Neu could have done, love this as the theme tune for a CBC show.
I like the fact that this song has no lyrics. for me this song is a thought that is sometimes overtaken by anxieties. an unconscious moment
just wow
'Watching the Detectives (2007).' ♡

Yes!
Love it. Reminds me of Stars and Sons by Broken Social Scene

If I go down south, let's smoke a doobie, wild caught is the best.
Amazing👌👌
It's the ultimate song of Earthians.
It sounds like something scary is about to happen right around the corner!

What?
Does this whole music track mean something bad is coming someone’s way?
I'm just a go go dancer playing on my air guitar 🎸
reminds me the track from savoy brown train to nowhere
rhythm and style reminds of some 60's tunes... except for the soft vocals
More like 70s krautrock dude
I'm sure the rithym and style was taken from the song Formant from kippi kaninus
This song is older.
Bees is from 2005. The style is older though, reminds me of mid-century 1900s.
It's in the style of krautrock, etc. Check out CAN, the song Mother Sky for example.
