This song sounds good but is it true? I think Selah is talking about the Table of Christ. However, everyone is NOT welcome at the Table (remember the parable of the Foolish Virgins). And there are some requirements for sitting at the Table (remember the parable of the Rich man and the poor man who sat near his table so he could eat the scraps that fell off the rich man’s table). In the end, the rich man was NOT sitting at Christ’s Table, but the poor man was. And of course, I’m certainly NOT going to invite Hamas to share a meal with me (sit at my table). I’m certainly going to use my mind to understand that there is evil in this world and there are evil people.
Yes, you are right, also remember, Jesus gives the parable of the wedding in Matthew 22. Many rejected the invite and had excuse after excuseas to why not go to the wedding. And so it is today, many are extended the Good News, the Gospel of Truth and yet, many reject. .For many are invited but few are chosen (vs 14). See those empty chairs? It is also the hope of a loved one to soon accept the invite. We wait. We pray. This song is just portraying that all are welcomed and to those who do accept the invite, come to the marriage feast of the Lamb. Of course the world doesn't see the spiritual sense of this song. Because they walk in the flesh. May we all pray for our loved ones to join us at the "table" of the Lord. And accept His calling ❤
