Gabby did an AMAZING job leading these girls this season even with all of the drama and negativity she shined bright. This was a legendary squad for me. Produced one of the greatest seasons of field shows and stands were solid. Nice to see her bring back counts from ‘14 and ‘15.
I will admit that Cam brought me here this season but all of you made me stay. These 8 ladies proved that numbers don’t mean anything and talent means everything. The squad was smaller than most of the lines this year and they entertained the hell out of us this entire season. Each and every one of them gave 110 % every game leaving everything on the field. The field shows were like mini productions and if you knew the words to the song each routine told its story. Not up on the story of the captain drama and it doesn’t matter because this captain was who she was supposed to be I couldn’t imagine another For this squad. Congratulations to the “crabs” for not missing a beat. You were both awesome additions. We see how and why you both made it. Cam you are amazing...continue to stay humble...it is the way and God ain through with you yet!

Lastly, I just wanna say how far Cam has come, it was truly a blessing just watching her grow into a young, mature woman (although we are the same age) from Bring It! to Southern University’s Fabulous Dancing Dolls, truly an honor and thankful to Mama Mimi for allowing her support system to witness it with her!

Classy and Sassy. Like one commented stated, I came for Camryn but stayed for everyone. They each have their own personalities, unique quirks, and sassiness that if you watch closely though doing the same exact counts, make them all stand out. This has been the best squad in a long time. They worked hard and proved why they are one of the best dance squad at HBCUs. Can't wait for next season! Also the band killed it this year.

This season was amazing and all the girls were amazing and danced with grace and class. And your videos are amazing as well! Same here. I got really into the SWAC unit. I watched videos from now all the way back til 2015 (I started in like August). JSettes, GGirls, Dolls, and Stingettes. I really enjoyed look at their history and watching all the ladies prosper in their craft.

started watching the dolls because of the previous captain Kayla, watching now cause of Camryn to be honest!, but all the girls have grown on me! love the entire back row! and like what each girl brings to the team! I've enjoyed the different halftime performances this season too!!
Each doll, a forever doll captivates. We need to understand that what the dolls do and represent is truly and undeniably the greatest form of the arts. Dance needs to send a message and when you see the dolls dance the expressions are telling the story of the dance. I watched an interview of Lisa Porter and she creates her pieces on her moods, whichever she’s feeling like. I thought that was genius, and I tell myself if I could only thank the dolls, the creator for helping me through periods where I didn’t feel sexy when i dance or in general. I love the arts so much that i stopped dancing because i was told of my height and weight, the dancing dolls style reminded me so much of why I took modern jazz growing up but when i was told that and got picked on (life threaten) all the time, i eventually stopped. Fast forward I have been watching several different styles and just can’t seem to let go of the poise and attitude behind each move of the dolls. So, for over a year i have just been learning stands, battles and watching the whole HBCU affair. It reminded me instantly of why i wish my school counselor didn’t send my application to Bethune late. Really trying to battle these personal issues, while learning i am able to concentrate more better, my memory has sharpened and my overall self esteem has boosted. i am more confident in what I do, I am able to do some of these moves in inappropriate times lol but i truly wish the SU and the dolls, the band, the faculty and the creator nothing but happiness, success, joy, and love. i really mean what i say my confidence level didn’t increase until i started throwing stands. Dancing is conjuring and these styles in the HBCU world would take over in the future the music arts is coming back and these dancers are killing it and some have already started the platform ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it got me wanting to start something here with helping just anyone who is dealing with hopeless, depression, and just want to feel sexy dance class but of course do i have your permission? 🤔🙏🏽😃❤️🍁

I commend Gabby. Being a captain alone & bringing in a new set of girls is not easy.. Dancing in front of those beasts that was on this squad wasn’t easy & coming behind TWO Legendary Captains (KP & Stamper) is damn sure not easy but she held her own! This year was needed, a calm year that consisted of classic doll! I never know whats gonna happen with these girls but will always be a supporter, not a fan!
Ive been here before I can’t decide between Taneria, Kaylon, Jada, Taylor. Taneria reminds me of Danielle and Jordan... she’s like another fireball Kaylon is grown woman sex appeal personified and she dances her heart out. Taylor gives me KP vibes, she serves FACE AND SHE IS FIERCE, and silky smooth Jada is a straight shooter she does the movements precisely and full out. To me it’s between Taylor and Taneria.
Man I regret not going to an HBCU but these ladies are awesome such class and talent I get so excited when the notifications pop up omg they are together from head to toe inside and out yesss I'm here for Cam too so happy for her 😘😘 tfs

actually she didn't change styles, Cam has always leaned more towards lyrical, jazz and ballet. That's why you saw more of it while she was captain of DD4L. Even Kayla tells her how she changed the game at her celebration. Killa Cam only lost 4 competitions over her 3 years as Captain

Cam didn't have to change her whole style since jazz, ballet and lyrical was added to her team when she became captain . The TEAM became more rounded to compliment her. She was already trained in other styles of dance and had already won her 1st full dance scholarship to LaSalle University, before she became captain. Know your facts!!!!

Typically I don't normally pay attention to the ladies, but this season was different. I would notice them walking in, halftime, then 5th.. this season I really saw dancing out there. Captivatingly Beautiful Young Ladies ...Dancing. I am by no means skilled enough to judge, but they looked great this season. Unfamiliar with the drama surrounding them at the beginning of the season as the comments were full of opinions, but I do know that while there were crazy and unnecessary opinions and statements under the clips, their shows were great. I dare you to pick one that was not. I would like to congratulate these ladies on a successful season, and to those young ladies looking to try out for next year, these eight (8) have shown you that you will need to be 100% before you try out. Poised with technique, skill, and energy! Great Job Ladies!
Overall ,the BEST dance line.I love the aggression of a JSette and the Sassy Stingette but The Dancing Dolls have it all. Their field show / dance feature was EVERYTHING!!

she’ll be a 2 year captain more than likely, this isn’t her last rip. i think some people get the doll years mixed up with their classification. all of 15’ & 16’ are seniors academically. it’s just that all of 15’ made it on their first try vs taneria & micah didn’t. (Taylor& gabby tries out 16’)

I am beyond proud to see how these ladies have risen above the drama and negativity at the beginning of the season to stand proudly where they are now. They were just as talented then as they are now! Those ice blue costumes btw, are perfect.
In the end, Gabby made everyone a believer. It was an INCREDIBLE SEASON!!!!! It's always sad seeing them say "bye" to one another.

Each doll, a forever doll captivates. We need to understand that what the dolls do and represent is truly and undeniably the greatest form of the arts. Dance needs to send a message and when you see the dolls dance the expressions are telling the story of the dance. I watched an interview of Lisa Porter and she creates her pieces on her moods, whichever she’s feeling like. I thought that was genius, and I tell myself if I could only thank the dolls, the creator for helping me through periods where I didn’t feel sexy when i dance or in general. I love the arts so much that i stopped dancing because i was told of my height and weight, the dancing dolls style reminded me so much of why I took modern jazz growing up but when i was told that and got picked on (life threaten) all the time, i eventually stopped. Fast forward I have been watching several different styles and just can’t seem to let go of the poise and attitude behind each move of the dolls. So, for over a year i have just been learning stands, battles and watching the whole HBCU affair. It reminded me instantly of why i wish my school counselor didn’t send my application to Bethune late. Really trying to battle these personal issues, while learning i am able to concentrate more better, my memory has sharpened and my overall self esteem has boosted. i am more confident in what I do, I am able to do some of these moves in inappropriate times lol but i truly wish the SU and the dolls, the band, the faculty and the creator nothing but happiness, success, joy, and love. i really mean what i say my confidence level didn’t increase until i started throwing stands. Dancing is conjuring and these styles in the HBCU world would take over in the future the music arts is coming back and these dancers are killing it and some have already started the platform ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it got me wanting to start something here with helping just anyone who is dealing with hopeless, depression, and just want to feel sexy dance class but of course do i have your permission? 🤔🙏🏽😃❤️🍁

I commend Gabby. Being a captain alone & bringing in a new set of girls is not easy.. Dancing in front of those beasts that was on this squad wasn’t easy & coming behind TWO Legendary Captains (KP & Stamper) is damn sure not easy but she held her own! This year was needed, a calm year that consisted of classic doll! I never know whats gonna happen with these girls but will always be a supporter, not a fan!

actually she didn't change styles, Cam has always leaned more towards lyrical, jazz and ballet. That's why you saw more of it while she was captain of DD4L. Even Kayla tells her how she changed the game at her celebration. Killa Cam only lost 4 competitions over her 3 years as Captain

Cam didn't have to change her whole style since jazz, ballet and lyrical was added to her team when she became captain . The TEAM became more rounded to compliment her. She was already trained in other styles of dance and had already won her 1st full dance scholarship to LaSalle University, before she became captain. Know your facts!!!!

Typically I don't normally pay attention to the ladies, but this season was different. I would notice them walking in, halftime, then 5th.. this season I really saw dancing out there. Captivatingly Beautiful Young Ladies ...Dancing. I am by no means skilled enough to judge, but they looked great this season. Unfamiliar with the drama surrounding them at the beginning of the season as the comments were full of opinions, but I do know that while there were crazy and unnecessary opinions and statements under the clips, their shows were great. I dare you to pick one that was not. I would like to congratulate these ladies on a successful season, and to those young ladies looking to try out for next year, these eight (8) have shown you that you will need to be 100% before you try out. Poised with technique, skill, and energy! Great Job Ladies!
