Can you all imagine how many tears Jerry has shed when no one was around when and.during the time he was losing his best friend Layne to smack & cocaine.. not to mention Mike Starr later on. I mean. I know Mike Starr & Jerry were not super close. But , they were close enough for Jerry to speak at his memorial ..I'm so thankful he is sober ..he is alive ..we have lost too many souls to dope and mental illness ( suicide ) . Good Job Jerry Cantrell..we love you and more importantly ..we respect you ..Peace People / Loud Love ❤
I had mother love bone’s album, green river, ultra mega OK but man in the box started it all. Every other form of rock died when that song dropped. “Grunge” was instantly born. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that video. Seattle changed forever. R.I.P Layne One of the best voices in rock n roll. An amazingly gifted person.
I met Layne and Jerry years ago just before they got big at a gig in Salt Lake - they were opening for the band Extreme... I enjoyed their show but wasn't into Extreme so I went out to lobby and they came walking by... nice guys. A few months later they were huge and I saw them on MTV
It's amazing when they start talking bout how they started musically. There's not many people get to share the same experience during such exciting times as these 2 have. Jerry got to experience the grunge movement while Steve had the punk movement.
Green River was also 84, and Screaming Trees, Melvins and Malfunksion. Soundgarden was only one of a handful, and not the actual first. And Motherlovebone didn't even exist, Ament was in Green River...
Awesome interview.
Thank you Jonesy for bringing Jerry's smile out.

Absolutely...Can you also believe how hurt Sean is....losing Layne, Mike, Chris Cornell, so many others . No doubt they both have been damaged
What a cool casual interview

is it just my comp or is the audio really quiet???
Dram Darmody The whole gimmick of the show is that it’s always quiet, he prefers to whisper
