Lyrics, may be wrong, I also swapped 'they' with 'we' since I personally find it more fitting, and I always sang it that way, so it's hard to go against that. Just change it back if you're singing for nonMarines, I guess. Also, I finished the final verse you can hear trailing off at the end. You'd either transition to another cadence afterwards, or pass off to someone else. Edits for the ending will be in parenthesis, since despite the OP's comment, I'm more a fan of what I was taught as a continuation than what he responded with. So the parenthesis and the nonparenthesis equivalent are the same verse if singing; just pick the one you prefer. Lo righty lo righty lo righty layo
Lo righta layo
(a) Lefty righty layo
Lo righty layo
We love to double time
We do it all the time
Up in the morning with the bloodshot eyes
Now it looks another to keep the sun rise
Stumbled and staggered into the head
Look in the mirror cause I think I’m dead
Stumbled and staggered into the cold
I bend at the waist to puke my load
Singing lo righty layo
A lefty (a) righty layo
Lo right layo
A lefty righty lo
Way back in 1775
God had a vision in His eyes
He made the Corps from guts and leaves
Marine Corps lives in a-you and me
Marines they fought the Revolutionary War
We fought for stripes and we fought for stars
He gave us strength and He gave us pride
Marine Corps a-lives in a-you and I
Marines they fought the war in 1812
History told us that war was Hell
He gave strength and he gave us pride
Marine Corps a-lives in a-you and I
Marines they fought in the Civil War
Fought each other for a crazy cause
The North wanted freedom and the South wanted slaves
Marine Corps lives in the Bold and the Brave
Marines they fought in the First World War
Surrounded by the Germans, Colonel Puller Swore
They’re front and they're back, and they’re at our sides
The bastards can’t get away this time
Marines they fought in the Second World War
Hirohito wanted to even the score
We dropped a bomb and the air got hot
We turned Japan into a parking lot
Marines they fought in Vietnam
Send us anywhere we don’t give a damn
Once again it came our time to shoot
We settled our score over in Beirut
Marines were once again on the attack
Save the Kuwaitis from Iraq
We gave Saddam and the Kurds their wish
Lower gas prices and some oil-stained fish
Go anywhere, be a piece of war
Even fight on foreign shores
Sail the sea or though the sky
Marine Corps (a) lives in (a) you and I
Lo right lo right layo
Lo right (a) lefty righty lo
Lo righty lo righty lo righty layo
Lo righty lo righty lo righty layo
Send the troops b’fore it’s too late
Saddam has invaded Kuwait
Grab your rifle and get a tan
You can scratch the rotation plan
President Bush was (a) talking tough
We didn’t know it would get that rough
We thought Saddam was a man of reason
We got him glass and it’s killing season
People oughtta start to understand
Saddam Hussein’s one crazy man
Gasses his people and torches them too
Saddam there’s cluster bombs for you
Burning oil and acid rain
SCUD missiles that start to rain
They ship my ass straight overseas
Now who cut down the olive trees
1 2 3 and 4
Sometimes I get peachy, gotta make some war
If we don’t nuke them till they glow
We gonna die for more than Texaco
Stormin' Norman made a plan
Now we’re gonna kill who’s in command
And when we’re done kicking his ass
Pay 25 cents for a gallon of gas
Thank you for doing this. I'm hearing impaired and now i can understand this sound!

I am Army in the 80's. I hear like I am home.😁😁😁
My favorite part from recruit training at P.I. was hearing my kill sing cadence on the way to chow at 0430 or 05 whatever time it was. 2nd battalion ,hotel company, 2032

hi" I'm a young athletic male named Paul Wade~. I work crazy hours. I just thought I'd say something. I love this song!. p.s had a question" will the Marine Corps take a 30 year old and enlist him if he's able ?.
Go to a recruiter.
Yes they will, You would be 32 now but at the time they would have!
Best thing to listen to while running. Keeps you going for miles!
Up in the morning with the bloodshot eyes
Now it looks like another tequila sunrise
Stumbled and a staggered into the head
Look in the mirror cause I think I'm dead
Stumbled and a staggered into the commode
I bend at the waste to puke my load
Singing lo right a lei o
A lefty right a lei o
Lo right a lei o
A lefty righty lo
Way back in 1775
God had a vision in his eyes
He made the Corps from guts and leaves
Marine Corps lives ina you and me
Marines we fought the Revolutionary War
We fought for strips and we fought for stars
It gave us strength and it gave us pride
Marine Corps lives ina you and I
Marines we fought the war in 1812
History taught us that war was hell
It gave us strength and it gave us pride
Marine Corps lives ina you and I
Marines we fought in the Civil War
Fought each other for a crazy cause
The North wanted freedom and the South wanted Slaves
Marine Corps lives in the bold and the brave
Marines we fought in the first World War
Surround by Germans Col Puller swore
They're front and they're aft and they're at our sides
The bastards can't get away this time
Marines we fought in the second World War
Hirohito wanted to even the score
We dropped the bomb and the air got hot
Turned Japan into a parking lot
Marines we fought in Vietnam
Send us anywhere we don't give a damn
Once again it came our time to shoot
Settle the score over in Beirut
Marines were once again on the attack
(To) save the Kuwaitis from Iraq
We gave Saddam and the Kurds their wish
Lower gas prices and some oil stained fish
Go anywhere be it peace or war
Even fight on foreign shores
Sail the sea or through the skies
Marines Corps lives ina you and I
Lo right a lo righta lei o
Lo right a lefty righty lo
Lo right a lo right a lo right a lei o
Lo right a lo right a lo right lei o
Send a truce before it's too late
Saddam has invaded Kuwait
Grab your rifle and get a tan
You can't scratch a rotation plan
President Bush was a Talkin Tom
We didn't know it would get that rough
Thought Saddam was a man of reason
We got him glassed in his killin season
People are startin to understand
Saddam Husain's one crazy man
Gasses his people and tortures them too
Saddam, this cluster bomb's for you
Burnin oil and a acid rain!
Scud missiles, desert terrain
They shipped my ass straight overseas
Now who cut down the old oak trees
1, 2, 3, 4
Sometimes to get peace you gotta make some war
If we don't nuke em till they glow
We're gonna die for more than Texaco
Stormin Norman made a plan
Now we're gonna kill who's in command
And when we're done kickin his ass
Pay 25 cents for a gallon of gas
Now let me hear the thunder
The motivated thunder ((ah) keeps me motivated)
The thunder in your left foot (keeps me motivated)
Now clap on your left foot
I got yelled at by the poster for putting these lyrics on a different video, so here they are. Enjoy, fellows.
Let me hear the thunder
Keeps me motivated (Repeat X2)
Cadence that’s fading out is “Thunder, Lightning, Wind and Rain.”
@@TheScribe114 I have never heard anyone call that in cadence, so do you get why I messaged you that I hoped you'd keep uploading trash like this, sir? While certain bits of your cadences might not be original, as a whole, they are. And quite frankly, if I may speak so, I love them, and I'm sure others do too. That's why I was hoping you'd continue to upload these.
@@TheScribe114 To be honest with you, sir, I've always heard "surrounded by Germans Col Puller swore" as "surrounded by Germans, gonna pull a swarm."
Cadences are weird like that, I guess. You kinda get to pull your own wording and meaning out of certain phrases, I guess I at least hope I know, since I called this same cadence for my admin school class in Camp Johnson, and half of them couldn't keep up. That's 75% on me, and 25% on them, I'd say.
Tbf, the two main cadence callers on this day were me and my LCpl. And all the others were barely brave enough to call either of our cadences, much the less call their own.
Marines are family no matter where your from
i ran to some of these yesterday when i worked out with the marines yesterday
Christian Johnson City
MARINES live in the bold and brave!!
I listened to this out jogging up the Sparrow Hills in Moscow. Dat rhythm
I'm personally Army. But I love this cadence most !
Man I found your stuff and showed my fellow poolees now we all chant this when we run it's true motivation
McCants was my Msgt in Hawaii. Legit guy, I can't say anything but positives about the dude, Semper Fidelis. McCants:"those greens fit" Me: "Been lifting"

You stupid you make leef
UH RAH!!!!!!!!
Missed opportunity at this being the greatest marine corps enlistment commercial of all time if they included this cadence with marines running at the end of Oppenheimer. “We dropped the bomb and the air got hot” perfectly captures marine corps attitude towards shit lol.
OK I got to say this. This goes out the over 300 /500 who had the balls to give the a thumbs down to the this video . Shame on you these people go out protesting.
Me and the boys when we are 15 minutes late to class:

Forget that.... Me when I was a teenager and was not only late home but had forgotten my chores!

Ready to fight! Real fisty real sweet real good moral real good manners obeys orders from his family work and superiors" no matter there age" I think he will make a fine Marine!. God Bless" & if you can" any advise to tell this young man ? We want him to get in badly and to come back home!. We love him" he's very special to us!. Sincerely His Big Momma" Nanny~.
Oh my gosh I love this!
Marine Corps always had the coolest ones even though they're Way to G rated
I tried to call this cadence at one point, over on Ft Johnson, but my fellow Marines couldn't keep up with it. It made me very sad, that I had to switch from this cadence over to the "little birdie" cadence
