I have to cull my guppies and always hated culling. So I made a huge, heavily planted cull tank just like your guppy mosh pit tank. They live out their best lives in there and the behbeh’s that they all make are all so new and different. I’ve shown some ppl vids of my cull tank and got grief about over population (hello? Plants, plants, plants, & lots of filtration), and then they were like ‘you have Black Metal guppies, Purple Mosaic guppies, Koi guppies, and mutt guppies all in one tank? That’s just wrong!’ It’s not wrong. They may all be pure line 4:27 bred, but they are culls. I don’t kill culls. So sue me for putting them all together in a huge, gorgeous, heavily planted aquarium…. 😅

I have an empty 20L, was planning a guppy tank. But I haven't been feeling well the past few weeks, and went for a test, have to wait 3 months for a followup before I find out if I'm doomed in the short term...so now I have no idea what to do - risk setting up a tank that my kids might have to deal with later,, or don't set it up and possibly miss out on the glory of a beautiful guppy tank. (Do they even need a duckweed joint, the happy little wiggle butts?)

My mutt guppy method is to let duckweed, water lettuce and hornwort go wild. They flourish when you neglect trimming your plants.
