I really hope Stems take off. It's a great tool for DJs to play with but if the content is not recognizable to the masses, it won't go far. More labels and producers (dare I say, mainstream) needs to get on board and release content the masses know and will be able to pick up on. Make sense?

I would get this version but Traktor disabled the ability to hit a black space on the remix deck to stop playback. When they fix this I will be on board!
I am an OG, DJ OG meaning I started playing music in the 80s and I still play music today. I also had the good luck of owning a club for 10 years and closed it after Covid. Now let’s get down to my issues. I’ve been traktor man since day one. I recently purchased the S4 and I’ve been using the S3 for many years since 2010. New York City DJs, all use Serato. I fight with anyone who tells me serato is superior to tractor. Now my good friend purchased the new Serato Controller that literally takes any downloaded MP3 and convert it into stems on the fly. Why can’t tractor do this? They really need to not all the songs that we’re looking for in the New York City urban environment are Stem available. Will you guys roll out an update to do this? We like to do a cappella on the fly we like bass beats on our house music but on the fly, please help me understand this.

2018. Latest update installed and Traktor is still bugging with that LED lit with no sound being played in the deck, just deck loaded (see channel B volume fader LED lit) don't know if it's a hardware issue then...

Thanks Phil! Ive been on the fence about picking up an F1 forever, but with the new display for Traktor im finally convinced. Question, can you load a stem track into just a regular deck, or does it have to be switched over like the remix decks?

+MrFrenchdj It's not plug and play, but you can integrate (or create your own) keyboard/controller mappings :) Check out Traktor Bible or DJ TechTools for this!
Hi, Great video. Question: I have an S2. Does hitting the SHIFT key and CUE/Remix Slots buttons activate the STEMS tracks?

I load up a song & hit the stems button on my s4 mk3....nothing happens. What am I doing or not doing that it does work?

I have the S4MK2. Instead of using the mouse to control the filter and FX sends(6:56) in the Stems can it be mapped to a third party controller such as Novation Launch Control?

Great video I think Native Instruments dropped the ball here, the software should have been ready to go and supported the same time they dropped the hardware. This will push the hardware sales not the other way around. I personally bought a F1 after fooling around with remix decks and realizing that dedicated hardware would work so much better. ugh I love traktor but NI drives me crazy with their business decisions.

Beatport has a lot of Stems tracks, good place to start!
I have a questionI am using TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 but it is the older model I have updated to the new 2.10 update off stems view but I have no control over the stems to turn of and on can you please help? do I need a mapping for it? if so can someone help thank you

HAVE a question too... i have the latest tractor equipment..scratch pro audio 10...can i do this STEM thing on and with it..?? or i need to get another tractor equipment..??
Yes but you'll need a way to control the stem decks :) The Traktor Kontrol D2 is a good option
now i have the D2 ..WHATS NEXT PLS..?? bcus i was told that i need to be a producer before i can actually use the d2 ..how true is that bcus i have downloaded the stems creator aswell but i cant use it
While it's good to have production skills alongside your DJing, you don't need to be one before using it! In fact, it'll likely help you in thinking more like a producer just by messing about with it.
