The liner is typically attached through a liner track, with the top edge of the liner fit with a bead that fits into the receiver. If you have an above ground pool there are approx. 9 different types of liners and beads to consider...so it could be as simple as identifying it as one of these- or you could have something completely different depending on how your pool was built. A local pool guy/girl should be able to help point you in the right direction.
If we get a good seal with the vinyl vac that sucks all the air out from behind the liner we would be able to do the cut ins. If there is a chance that we don't have a good seal, or that we will develop wrinkles (or smiley faces) if we cut in too early and the water weight pulls the liner down we'll wait until there is some water in the pool.
i have a vinyl pool that the liner needs replacing i wanted to replace the concrete around the pool while i was doing the liner. the old concrete has sunken and is cracked i want nice even new concrete. Is this even possible? I live in Southfield Mi not too far from your business. I was wondering could you provide me with s quote? Or st least some insight.
Do yourself a favour if it's hot out. I see it's fall so won't apply but when it's sunny save yourself a huge head ache and buy really good duct tape or be careful example. Tape the skimmer lid from the bottom. And when you tape the air machine vac behind the liner don't put tape all over the liner just cover the bead. Sun melts tape and it's a real pain to remove from a liner
How do you attach the liner? Do i need sealant between the liner and pool? I just inherited a pool.
The liner is held in place with the water weight. No adhesives needed.

I'm curious to know how you're able to do all the cut-ins, (Steps, returns, skimmer) without any water weight.
