Thanks for sharing this. I lived in Main Halls for two years but before the renovations. The rooms look far better now; in fact, they look as good as the rooms in Woodland Court. Pity the old building character has been lost, but the renovations were needed.

They have one of the best teaching degrees at edgehill and you get to go out on placement from your first year onwards. I’m sure you will be a great teacher after you finish school and go to university.
I was in the main halls years ago (Clough) and I’m in awe of how it looks now. No communal areas (not counting the hall ways, kitchen and what was then or still is the seating area outside the tutors offices (obviously not during the daytime)) and private bathrooms were unheard off outside the newer buildings and pricier halls (forgot what any of them were actually referred to as). Closet thing a handful of us had was a private sink. That room looks amazing, which halls was it (I just searched Clough Halls Edge Hill to get this)?
It’s the new Clough halls, but there is still some original main halls left I think don’t think they refurbished all of them in first year I stayed in main halls for a few weeks and did not like it as you had to share the toilets and bathroom and the smell was not nice and the kitchen was small but you got free food on your student card but I transferred to chancellor south instead which is awesome then last year I moved to the new main halls which where actually cheaper then chancellors but just as good.
Yeah I remember the old Clough being like that, although the way the kitchen was often kept probably didn’t help with the smell. I was one of the last to move out for the summer that year and some of the stuff left behind I found. No wonder why the cleaners weren’t happy with us lol. But I remember it being as you described during your first year and the like I said seeing it now has me in awe and wondering how differently it might have been if all that was there then. They should be able to fit books on depending on the size if you see on the video I have computer games on there and they fit fine so depending on the size of the book they should fit.
Thank you, everyone got told to go home early due to the COVID19 so I didn't get to spend much time in my room but it was one of my favourite rooms I have lived in at uni.
Ormskirk is like a little village, it has a few clubs and shops in the mini town center. It is a really nice place to live. Plus Liverpool is only around half an hour away on the train and most people go there to shop and for the clubs. Good luck with your University journey I hope this message has helped you.

Hi Nathaniel, great informative video. My daughter is at college atm, we were at Edge Hill on Saturday, she fell in love with the place. We looked at Chancellor as it’s near Creative edge as she’s doing film and also Palatine as she will need her own bathroom. Where is this, I don’t remember seeing sofas in the kitchen area. Thanks 😊
Hello this is the new Main Halls it is also an en-suite, Chancellors are amazing halls thats where I was in my first year and Palatine is also amazing they have good kitchens. Most halls have sofas in the communal area/kitchen, the main halls ones are just newer due to the halls getting upgraded, hope this helps.
The reason why my PlayStation isn’t in the video is because I had to get a new one because the old PS4 stopped working. The internet at uni is actually good most of the time you have to get a ethernet cable to go into the world and fill a form in online to the FM building to send a signal. I do game online a lot tbf 😄
Nathaniel The Visionary fair enough, I was thinking of going into halls but you can’t connect fire sticks to the internet and I wasn’t sure whether consoles could either, I wouldn’t want to finish my work for the day and have nothing to do but twiddle my thumbs and stare at the wall 😂

Not at all there are people in their 50’s who live on campus your far from an older student there is no such thing, go and follow your dreams and your career and have fun in the process living on campus is amazing you will enjoy it and make loads of friends.

I was in Forest Court, Elm for my first year only knew one person who lived in new main halls but his room was nice 😄
The rooms are amazing and they’re so cheap at the minute I think after next year the prices are going up.

are the shelves with the mirror infront big enough to fit books on or do they not go back far enough?

You don’t need a fire stick you can just download everything to your console and watch tv on that
