The basalt area is so interesting looking and the waterfalls are beautiful. Nice to see Annyvette and Arleen. Huasca is pretty, as was the glamping area! Pachuca and Tula look really nice. Tolantongo is fabulous and the views! You chose well, Paulette!
What a wonderful trip for your Birthday Paulette. You killed those steps. You will always remember this Birthday. Great Video and Marc you really got some wonderful drone shots.
I truly enjoyed your video, but most importantly, good for you for choosing an area that most Americans would not do, but Hidalgo state has so many beautiful places to offer, it’s just amazing!!!!
Great vlog you guys. Really enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery and good detail. I esp appreciate the excellent music choices and restraint. No blaring music during quiet moments. Happy birthday Paulette!
Paulette says thanks for the birthday wishes. And thank you for your kind comment about my music selection. I put a lot of thought into it and listen to a lot of clips before selecting one. -Marc
Happy belated birthday Paulette 🎉. I enjoy watching this video, particularly Tolantongo, I wish in the near future I could visit this majestic place. Thank you, and Mercy Travels ❤.
Great video! I miss living in Hidalgo! A shame you didn't go in a vehicle so you could visit the Hacienda San Miguel Regla that was about 5 minutes from Las Prismas Basálticas, it is amazing and worth a trip. Loved going for pastes at Real del Monte! Watching the video kind of made me homesick! I lived in Progreso de Obregon, Mixquiahuala, Tula and Pachuca. Hidalgo will always have a special place in my heart because that's where I started my journey of living in Mexico and what made me want to stay.
Hi Dudealoodledo, Hidalgo is a beautiful state. Pastes are amazing. I don't see them here in San Luis Potosi. Where are you living now?Thank you for your kind comment about our video. -Marc
My favorite part was the large cave with the water falling out of the ceiling. I went into the dark park of the cave for just a little bit and that was enough for me. We enjoyed they zip line and it was the first time any of us had ridden one.
This place is stunning! You mentioned wishing you had a car for this trip, so I assume you took a tourbus? Just wondering how much those cost? This place is SO beautiful ! I know if a video makes a place look this pretty, the Real life experience is usually much more profound! I am curious about accommodations and what variety of prices? You mentioned the price of your place, I am wondering if you would consider it a good place to LIVE ???
The state of Hidalgo is it's self is beautiful. Many of the interesting small towns are remote. We did take a tour bus to get to Tolantongo. and made arrangement with the driver to bring us back to Pachuca. If we would have had a car we cold have visited a couple more small towns instead of relying on Taxis. Tolantongo left a profound effect on us. It was an amazing experience. The glamping was expensive other then that we paid about 40 USD a night to stay at places and the rooms were nice. The hotel at Tolantongo was closer to 80 USD but you can rent a cabin there or you can camp there for free except for having to pay the fee that charge by day to be in the park. Yes we would consider it a good place to live overall. Pachuca wasn't for us but we loved the smaller towns that we visited. -Marc
We were gone for 12 days. I think we spent around 160 USD a day on average for everything. Thank you for your kind comment about our video and the question. -Marc
Yes, it was all on that trip. Everyplace had something unique and interesting. We are very fortunate to be able to live in this country and experience it. -Marc
@@KevinDiaz-ob3rc I might have mis read your question but we have been to Leon. Here's a link to a video we did there. th-cam.com/video/V8fV_6zAHx8/w-d-xo.html
Glamping is the only way I'd camp😂 I had a horrible experience camping once camping with my family as a kid and as a result all of my siblings who went on that trip hate camping to this day
Hi Chris, sorry you had a bad experience with camping. Paulette and I have gone tent camping a few times and enjoyed it. The hotel and Glamping site would be amazing for people with families. -Marc
I'm glad you enjoyed Tula de Allende! It's definitely a place to visit if you like the archaeological sites. For the big 65 you'll have to do the El Chepe train ride! I started in Chihuahua, got off in Creel to see the valley of the monks and the waterfalls (only saw the smaller waterfall though). Then I rode the train to Divisadero where I stayed a few days and enjoyed the incredible views of copper canyon and the adventure park (zip lines!). Then back on the train to El Fuerte for another couple of days to see the fort before riding the train to Los Mochis and bussing down to Mazatlán. It's an amazing trip, and very do-able (and affordable) without having to get a tour guide. Copper Canyon is 4 times bigger than the USA's grand canyon!
Hi Brent, we've already done El Chepe about 3 years ago and made a video on it. We started in El Fuerte and rode it to Divisedero and then took a van to Chihuahua. Copper canyon was amazing. Now for the Tren Maya. -Marc
