My question is, to invest in ETF, why not use a broker to buy and hold ETF, in this way, you are most likely to get charge one low fee (ex: fees by VOO,SPY etc), but if you invest etf through stashaway, you pay a fees by percentage to AUM by stashaway, before paying fees by etf, if planning to invest for many years, percentage based commission is going to eat up a chunk of your profits?
Cause some people are not as informed as you and I. And they don’t know where to start. They might also experience overload of conflicting information.
@@chrisdottanck if u have encountered robo advisor such as Stashaway or Wahed invest, it means that u are quiet well informed already. Those who r not well informed will probably still be invested in Unit trust
@chrisdottanck I agree, even I started my investing journey with stashaway before switching to moo moo, I believe stashaway has more to offer than ETF, but if just want to hold S&P, I don't think this should be the go to advice by a financial chanel, but then getting the bar to investing as low as possible is better than not investing at all.
This video missed out on how stashaway’s “robo investor” pick stocks and how bad their picks were. For example their china ETF - KWEB, They sold during Covid, bought right when it boom. Sold off again during crash in 2021 and bought back again once it’s up. Bought high sell low TWICE for the same ETF.
@@Archoniz94 my recommendation? Interactive Brokers or Moomoo. U can pick your own ETFs with monthly or weekly DCA. Not sure which ETF to buy? Traditionally just stick to the general S&P500 and u will be just fine, or watch youtube or google for recommendations.
If you want to have best pick for yourself "Robo investment" really not for you. He explain about dollar cost averaging, good choice or bad choice is for long term averaging. It is for ppl who are lazy to look at the stock market
As a long term investor, this is accurate, things that this strategy not sexy since it takes a lot of patient, but DCA strategy just gonna clear all your troublesome, but still, u need to do your own homework and research which ETFs suit u the most, not to follow the trend only
Another reason not to go lump sum is to keep some powder dry in order to take advantage of opportunities the market will present (e,g, a sudden dip due to panic selling by others). If you blow your load at one go, you won't have the liquidity to take advantage of these opportunities.
I'm newbie in this so Tried money market fund and crypto last 6 month's put both around 5k each lumsum, my return from mmf around rm100-rm300 up n down each month ,meanwhile my kripto already get return more than 50% on highest and lowest around 30% , decided start this years to DCA on BTC

I have evolved in recent years and have become one of the best ✊✊

Stashaway is for those newbies in investment or those who are even lazy to open broker account.
