This woman selling baked corns and other selling foods remind me so much of my mother...in West africa, these women are the back bone of the society, they are the one who produce the biggest brains who go later to be engineers, business men and women, presidents, Ceos you name it. I lost my father in a very young age, and my mother who use to sell things like cassava and palm oil raised all 7 of her kids, all by herself she send us to the best schools across the whole world selling cassava and palm oil. Today every single one of us has succeed on their own way...I can never thank my mom enough for sacrificing her own life so that her kids can have a better life...thank you mom for everything..I love you to death....Thank you Wode Maya for shining the life on these African women street entrepreneurs who actually raise children like you and me who later built the african society and bring real changes to the world like you are doing....keep doing your thing, you are blessed and you are heading to the right direction! This is a very emotional video me!

There is something about Nigerians (and indeed Africans) that is almost impossible to find elsewhere... We are hospitable, loving, and accommodating. No matter our differences, we set them aside and take care of our visitors and guests. Nigerian hospitality is dope. Ewa agoyin (beans) was brought to Nigeria in 80's by Togolesse people. When there's economic crisis in Togo and Ghana in late 70's, majority of Ghanaians and Togolesse took a mass migration to Nigeria in searching for better life when Nigeria currency is 1 naira to 1 America dollar and English pounds is 2 to 1 unfortunately our political leaders mess everything up and bastardise all the institution in our beloved country

@MR X agoyin was never a yoruba name. I think its belong to native people of togo and the food was never a yoruba or any other tribes in Nigeria. Tho beans is general food, but melthod of preparing their beans is totally different from ours, just like jolloff rice was never a Ghanian or Nigeria food it's belong to wollof people in Senegal one of many tribes in Senegal and furthermore wankey the mixture of rice and beans belong to Hausa people and all the Hausa in west Africa are originally from Nigeria just like fula or Fulani or fube depend how you called them are originally from guinea

hanon yohannes , I grew up in
West V and my mother always grilled corn for the family and topped it with butter and salt. Once we moved to New York City we would often see it at street fairs. Plus, it’s a Mexican street food in NYC. They serve it with butter or coated with a mixture of cotija cheese, mayo, sour cream, chile powder and lime. I’ve never had the Mexican version but sounds tasty!

M Oze I wasn’t actually talking about the 200 I was actually making a general statement; some people like to compare prices to the dollar and say it is cheap to live In such a place unfortunately it doesn’t work like that you have to know the worth of that amount in the local currency and not just the dollar equivalent, and just because a place is expensive to live in doesn’t mean the people are poor and can’t afford those prices, with that same logic it also means people living in Singapore are also poor because Singapore is one of the most expensive places to live in
