Well maybe they all freak out because none of them know that they are dating each other's boyfriend. He told them to keep their relationship secret because he is cheating on each member with another member so each girl freaks out when he rings the doorbell because she's like "OMG no one can find out I have a boyfriend because he asked me to keep it a secret!" And at the end Hyoyeon is the first to figure it out so she knocks the guy out.
I also don't like that "cute" thing style that snsd do all the time cause thay are grown up girls right now and it doesn't fit them anymore.. I was thinking that i am the only one who thinks this way!
SNSD raps aren't ALWAYS bad - I mean did you hear Tiffany's genie rap? It's actually pretty good :D Though you're right. Most of their raps aren't great at all XD But most kpop artists can't rap - unless of course you count k-rappers. (Me loves E.via >.>). I mean I know YG are the more American company but compare their raps to Eminem or any other rap artist and it's kinda......not that rapp-y >.>
They're not that great. They're okay but as I said, they're nowhere near as good as actual rappers. Unpopular opinion: CL in particular isn't that great - she mostly just yells the lyrics quickly which is entirely different from rapping. Not to mention, when she actually performs, she gets way too over excited and I kinda just mute it and play the studio version over it >.>
Yeah, I love the girls of GG, and it completely annoys me that they're treated badly by SM. If only South Korea would set up some laws or something to protect Kpop idols.
I really like it... That's the way I entered to the Kpop world and if it wasn't for that awesome video I woudn't be who I am today. That video was so perfect in so many ways that made me look out for more and I'm forever grateful for SNSD for putting the video out
That was so funny OMG haha diarrhea xD oh and the Ayoh parts and fast English parts were all done by Tiffany and jessica who are both native English speakers so of course their pronunciation is perfect
My brother says the song seems to somehow contradict itself (as you said with the aegyo and hip hop) but it's because it was sort of like a conversation? I dunno. He's a huge fan so I can't vouch for that.
Ugh all these butthurt comments are the reason Simon and Martina stopped doing these. They enjoy Girls Generation but that doesn't equal accepting everything your KPOP group throws at you. They are honest and it's called freedom of speech. They even point on the things they liked so they didn't flat out bash GG. Also, take you guys own advice saying if these guys don't like it don't watch it, then GTFO if you don't like Simon and Martina. Simple as that.
I was just thinking the same thing. I was binging KMM because I missed the episodes. I forgot how ridiculous some of these commenters were being, if Simon and Martina didn’t love a song a much as they did. I totally get why they stopped. I just hate that those people kinda ruined it for everybody.
I actually loved this video the best out of all SNSD videos and I thought the more hip hoppy vibe was a cool, funky, and refreshing thing to do to SNSD if only just once. I can see how the turn of the beat can be a hit and miss for people but I personally loved it and felt that it makes the song seem almost textural. Love you Simon and Martina and I love when you do SNSD reviews!! :3
Nur Rohmah Az-Zahra Hahaha you cant not love them they can be rude in a funny way i love all their videos you need to watch especially "kpop engrish" you are going to laugh till your tummy hurts really
LOL I put my perfume on like that...😁 I love the hard work Simon and Martina put into all their videos! I like the Music Monday videos. Even if not everyone agreed, that's okay. We all have different opinions. And these videos were always so hilarious!
Someone told just told me 'Bunnies are fluffy though' and I replied with BUNNIES ARE PUFFY and had to look up the reference for the guy and now I am rewatching all these old videos of you guys. THE MEMORIES ARE REAL! #possiblyslightlydrunk
My friend told me that the dates started at around 3.03pm and ended at 5.45pm on the same day, meaning 2hrs and 42mins was spent on dates with 9 girls, which is around 18 mins a date per each girl (that's what my friend told me)
Showing her emotion. Jessica is the narrator this time around saying "Lets bring it back to 1:40". 1:40 in the song is the fuzzy feeling part, basically Jessica is telling her "Don't worry about that yo, be happy" And then her part is about the girl that has the boy feeling confident again (Always next to me, its you, who's on my side and listend to me, Im happy as it is right now, cause everything will work). The song is very clever. Its about how girls feel mainly, and how girls gossip ->
I actually have to say that after all this time, the song did actually grow on me. Is it as good as their other songs? No. Is it as instantly addictive as their other releases? No. But I like how they didn't just choose the safe route and actually changed it up a little bit. I also loved to see some of the girls genuinely enjoy doing this song live - seeing idols enjoying themselves on stage instead of just doing it because they have to - and that also made me enjoy it more!
I love when you guys say your opinions without being afraid of fans, i mean i'm a SONE but i don't feel offended by the things you said in the video, actually there are things you said that i have to agree, what i'm trying to say is that being a big fan of a group it doesn't mean you have to love all the things they do, you also have to learn to see and accept their mistakes, so chill out SONEs :) and igab is one of the best songs i ever heard of GG.
you do realize that the different 'viewpoints of the song' of the song are what contribute to the different styles right. its told from quiet a few different perspectives. the girlfriend, the girlfriends gossipy friends, and at one point the girlfriends inner thoughts, before everything comes together.
i love this song, i loved everything in this song, the rapp, the melody, the coreography, all the video!!!I love so much Girls Generation, SNSD is awsome!!
I love IGAB. I think the different sections are supposed to represent the different aspects of a relationship. The stomp clap part is the happiness and excitement, the aegyeo cutesy part with them all in a line is to show the bashfulness and flirtiness, the part where Tiffany and Taeyeon are being all sassy represents frustrations in the relationship, and the rap is also about confusion and frustration. But I can see you guys' points.
It would help if Simon and Martina understood the lyrics. IGAB is a rhapsody and there is a story inside the song, which is told from multiple girls' perspectives. The choreography and change in scenes also symbolize different narratives. It's definitely beyond the typical kpop stuff.
Oh! When I said it was a beautiful and unique masterpiece I was only paraphrasing, none the articles actually said that I think. And your welcome for the references!!! I'm so proud that SNSD was the first artists EVER to tryout and pull off something like this!!!
There's a reason why ‘I Got A Boy’ Debuts at #1 on Billboard’s ‘World Albums’ Chart. It is disjointed, its a mixture of rap and k-pop, it's different, new....and incredibly catchy. For people who think it's a bad song just because it is different....great things often come with controversy. Open up your mind and ears!
Dear Simon and Martina, What are your favorite "Cutesy moves?" 1. The Wink 2. The blowfish (when they puff up their cheeks....so cute) 3. Holding arms overhead to make a heart. 4. Holding hands up to make a heart. 5. Covering mouth when laughing. 6. Holding chin in open hands (shaped like a V) 7. Fist roll on side of face. 8. Waving with open palms 9. Pointing finger at puffy cheek 10 Using hand as megaphone to address audience
the song does have flow and structure, even if the changes are not conventional, they aren't completely jarring, the song still has the same feel throughout. and at the final chorus, you can hear all the different elements come together as one, "oh ohohoaeoh" "i got a boy meojin" "a nae wahngjanim" the weird techno break and the beginning beats, they all come together. I was taken aback by the song at first too, but i feel people have been too quick to dismiss it because it seems untidy.
The Yoona and Hyoyeon rap part, is Hyoyeon telling Yoona not to reveal everything to the boy, in that case it means 'without makeup.' Then it comes back to the confusing parts, which is Taeyeons and Tiffanys part. Which is yet again the mean girls who's displeased with how their boyfriends treats them, which basically means that they're jealous of the girl who 'Got the boy.' And in the end Jessica tells them to go back to 1:40, which is the chorus. Meaning that the girl with the boy 'wins'.
Honestly, I love it and the mismatched-ness of it. It's so big and dramatic and I love things like that. They could've added a reggaeton dance break and I still would've loved it. This is the first SNSD song that I actually liked.
Guys, you both took the words right outta my mouth, I agree with you on every point! Simon you're right, they should either be all-out fierce hiphop or their usual pretty aegyo, attempting to combine both was kinda disastrous. Martina you're right, their dancing does deserve props becoz I too am getting sick of all the other female idols basically shaking their T&A and calling that good dance skills.
They go together at the very end. They combine the two main parts of the song together. I'm trying to understand why so many of the people viewing a video that has Girls' Generation: I Got a Boy in the title doesn't like the song. Stop looking at videos about it, then.
the song was supposed to be a remix style compared to other rappers , snsd received very little training , whilst others had years snsd only had months , the song is meant to be cutsey because it is talking about having a new boyfriends and crushes
"The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page."
They aren't hating on the song or Girls' Generation. They're just sharing their opinion and being honest, which is their job.
That makes no sense
People stop complaining, you asked for their opinion, they gave you it. So don't complain just because it wasn't the same as your own opinion.
i actually liked martina's rap......
Irais Garcia ø
me too
"you are one clever man, Snape!"
TOTALLY LOST IT AT THAT BIT OMFG
me too!!!!
I fell in love with martina's rap! Totally love it!
omg i love how Simon describe how he feels when the girls generation members rap. THAT IS HOW I FEEL
"You can't be aegyo and hip hop." That is until you see Jooheon and now life is confusing.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE KPOP MUSIC MONDAYS!!!!😢😢😭😭😭😭
Hahaha. "I got a boy in my chin, I got a boy chicken"
"You are one clever man, Snape."
Anyone think of the Snape scene after watching the new Lion Heart MV? I'm convinced SM watches eatyourkimchi videos :D
I think they were shocked when the boy knocks on the door, because they're all dating him-
Martina, I really like your rap. It was so precious. 0.0
I knooooow.
Omg I was cracking up at Martina's aegyo rap!! :D
OMG!!! Martina your rap Killed me!!! LOL I love the end part LMAO. You guys are amazing!
I lost it at "Youre one clever man...SNAPE" XD
Me too!
"you are one clever man snape"
my reaction here wasn't human
"The DJ is ruining my flow!!!" => EPIC+True Story;)
Chanyeol is cute and hip hop!!
Lyddy_a yeah, but not during his rapping parts
Lyddy_a he acts very tough while he's rapping though :p
If by YG you mean GD and CL then you haven't listened to YG yet. Epik High are the ultimate rappers of YG.
Yeah I think someone needs to explain to korean music producers that saying the lyrics fast isnt rapping xD
You must not know about great rappers like TOP and CL.
They're not that great. They're okay but as I said, they're nowhere near as good as actual rappers. Unpopular opinion: CL in particular isn't that great - she mostly just yells the lyrics quickly which is entirely different from rapping. Not to mention, when she actually performs, she gets way too over excited and I kinda just mute it and play the studio version over it >.>
***** I actually think CL is one of the few ones that are actually good. I dont wanna hate on female rappers or something but thats how they sound.
i love your shooooows. so creative and very entertaining, you guys are so right about GG. can't do aegyo and hiphop.
XD I loved Martina's Aegyo rap!
Honestly, I liked the video. It's really cute
So did I
Yeah, I love the girls of GG, and it completely annoys me that they're treated badly by SM. If only South Korea would set up some laws or something to protect Kpop idols.
Hahaha ~!!! Martina's Rap just killed me >.
I really like it... That's the way I entered to the Kpop world and if it wasn't for that awesome video I woudn't be who I am today. That video was so perfect in so many ways that made me look out for more and I'm forever grateful for SNSD for putting the video out
'you are one clever man, snape.' I just laughed so so hard!
That was so funny OMG haha diarrhea xD oh and the Ayoh parts and fast English parts were all done by Tiffany and jessica who are both native English speakers so of course their pronunciation is perfect
i like the song because it has so many different parts
like no joke, you guys make me "LOL' on every video. Keep it up. Even if you are not into k-pop, you guys are just awesome.
My brother says the song seems to somehow contradict itself (as you said with the aegyo and hip hop) but it's because it was sort of like a conversation? I dunno. He's a huge fan so I can't vouch for that.
Martina's rapping at the end! Haha Hilarious
Is it me, or does the chorus contain the Japanese word "chikan" (molester)? Ooh, SNSD, you so nasty!
I hope you are being sarcastic
Divine
Joking, actually. It's not quite the same thing. It DOES sound like they're singing "chikan," though.
no its chakan korean word not jappenise learn your songs
Allissia Kirkwood
I guess the difference in vowels is too subtle for me to detect.
Ok, I'm rewatching this today, and I finally figured out what ageyo rap is. It's Yolandi Fisser from Die Antwoord! Anyone agree?
I got a boy chicken. 🐔
yah thats what I think is says lol
To me it's I got a boy on my chin.
I thought it was I got a boy chicka I got a boy handsome boys what what sista.
it seems like Simon favorite dance is the window dance :)))
Hahaha 😂😂😂 you guys are awesome that rap was just funny
I love Martina's hairstyle in this video
your hair is so cute maritna X3
I loved martinas rap it was so funny, do you come up with the lyrics urself? that's genius.
"Dj's ruining ma flow!" xD
aw the memories. i miss kpop music mondays so much
LOL I LOVED THE RAP. Hyoyeon's voice is perfect for rapping. xD
I was just thinking the same thing. I was binging KMM because I missed the episodes. I forgot how ridiculous some of these commenters were being, if Simon and Martina didn’t love a song a much as they did. I totally get why they stopped. I just hate that those people kinda ruined it for everybody.
Wow Simon's mom looks a lot like Martina. Talk about an Oedipus complex.
Dear Simon, I can no longer look at Snape the same way now XD XD XD
"but you can't be hiphop and aegyo at the same time!" i just don't know why i laughing hard at this loollll..................so true. pfftt.
Qes this is *seriously* hilarious. I love them both.
Nur Rohmah Az-Zahra Hahaha you cant not love them they can be rude in a funny way i love all their videos you need to watch especially "kpop engrish" you are going to laugh till your tummy hurts really

Did u just say your a clever man snape??lol
Watching in 2016! Love this 💚
It's nice that you guys are being so tactful... it's a crap song and confusing video.
Maybe its a polygamous relationship. You don't know, don't judge.
Aristotally but your judging that it's a polygamous relationship so yeah stop judging plus they're only giving their god danm opinion

LOL I put my perfume on like that...😁 I love the hard work Simon and Martina put into all their videos! I like the Music Monday videos. Even if not everyone agreed, that's okay. We all have different opinions. And these videos were always so hilarious!
This song was so awkward I couldn't stand it. Lol.
That diarrhea kill me lmao
if your not gonna say something nice don't say it at. you guys are just haters
Someone told just told me 'Bunnies are fluffy though' and I replied with BUNNIES ARE PUFFY and had to look up the reference for the guy and now I am rewatching all these old videos of you guys.
THE MEMORIES ARE REAL! #possiblyslightlydrunk
its THEIR video you don't control their life not to be mean but you guys are just haters
It's THEIR Video you don't control their lives not to be mean but you are hater too
bChocolatelover 〈3 that comment was like HOW long ago really
I appreciate the fact that at least you guys give a honest review, those were all EXACTLY my thoughts! & I love Martina rapping lol

This is like my favorite Kpop music Monday. xD I keep coming back here and linking parts of it to people. xD
i personly loved the song and i like how you guys would point out that "they have to be mature"says the woman with a full animal pajama
+PINK ANGEL Using cute clothes doesn't translate in acting like a mentally challenged child, like most 20 something women in Korea.

I still adore this song, despite the lack of love the kpop community has shown it.
I kept watching this video and replaying the Aegyoilla part over and over :D Martina please do this again :D
i love this song, i loved everything in this song, the rapp, the melody, the coreography, all the video!!!I love so much Girls Generation, SNSD is awsome!!
But I can see you guys' points.
the chorus is just as good as the rest! the entire song is craaazy good!!!
Open up your mind and ears!
it was just HILARIOUS! =D
thank u, S&M~
That's actually exactly how I put on perfume.....
Dear Simon and Martina,
What are your favorite "Cutesy moves?"
1. The Wink
2. The blowfish (when they puff up their cheeks....so cute)
3. Holding arms overhead to make a heart.
4. Holding hands up to make a heart.
5. Covering mouth when laughing.
6. Holding chin in open hands (shaped like a V)
7. Fist roll on side of face.
8. Waving with open palms
9. Pointing finger at puffy cheek
10 Using hand as megaphone to address audience
No! They both have amazing talent! Also they're different so we really shouldn't compare them. But thank you for your opinion!
Simon looks adorable in this vid!!
Oh my god, you guys are funny! Love your analyses
the song does have flow and structure, even if the changes are not conventional, they aren't completely jarring, the song still has the same feel throughout. and at the final chorus, you can hear all the different elements come together as one, "oh ohohoaeoh" "i got a boy meojin" "a nae wahngjanim" the weird techno break and the beginning beats, they all come together. I was taken aback by the song at first too, but i feel people have been too quick to dismiss it because it seems untidy.
everyone got their opinion ,they're saying their opinion , if u don't like it then just don't watch and comment about it, easy =)
This is the first SNSD song that I actually liked.
i have to say...that Yoon and Hyo really pulled of great + cute rapping
seriously look at their live performances i mean i totally love those parts
Guys, you both took the words right outta my mouth, I agree with you on every point! Simon you're right, they should either be all-out fierce hiphop or their usual pretty aegyo, attempting to combine both was kinda disastrous. Martina you're right, their dancing does deserve props becoz I too am getting sick of all the other female idols basically shaking their T&A and calling that good dance skills.
It's the 5th time I watched this, only because aegyo-hiphop cracks me up,love you guys! :)
They go together at the very end. They combine the two main parts of the song together. I'm trying to understand why so many of the people viewing a video that has Girls' Generation: I Got a Boy in the title doesn't like the song. Stop looking at videos about it, then.
the song was supposed to be a remix style
compared to other rappers , snsd received very little training , whilst others had years snsd only had months , the song is meant to be cutsey because it is talking about having a new boyfriends and crushes
"The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page."
Haaa! That move Simon does on the dancefloor~ what is that, the 'roll your window down' step? =D lmao!!
OMG i think i just died LOLing. especially marina rapping!!! that just made my day!
I wish they still did K-pop music Monday's. But I understand why they stopped.
