Although I have one of Star's more recent pistols the Firestar in .40 S&W in mint condition, I am always in the look out of a Starlight BKS whic is the alloy version of the BKM. They are such good looking 1911 autos.
Would love to see you do some videos on the 3rd generation smith and wessons. Those are my all time favorite auto-loaders and in my humble opinion are some of the best, highest quality production guns ever made. The 3rd gens have made a resurgence lately because they nicely represent an all metal well designed and built firearm in a world currently dominated by an endless array of polymer handguns. metal framed high quality guns always seem to come back in style!....keep up the great work!
Send it back to smith when the world is back in order. The PC gen 3 action job is worth the super long wait. I also had them refinish the 6906 I sent them.
I know exactly what you mean. I like to get inexpensive gun and customize them to my liking. It completely runs any and all resale value but I love them even more
Pretty good finish.... Any question.... Don't dry-fire any Star Pistol or get broken your firing pin. The firing pin ni Star Pistols is blocked by a pin covered by the rear sight and the firing pin had a cut where the pin controlate the firing ping displacement. I was used this gun when I was in spanish Navy and was a reliable gun with pretty good accuracy.... The best is the trigger..... 🖖🙂
This is a pretty good gun. And yours look amazing. Congrats! Mine’s got a new wood grips and I cold blued it. One thing I noticed on mine is that the Guide rod sticks out of the gun. I don’t know if I put it back in a wrong way. Subbed ya.

I just murdered my first one out. My second one I rust blued and replaced any worn parts I could, and then put some rosewood grips on it

PLEASE, do not dry fire these handguns!!! Nice finish job, though.
I agree his gun he can dry fire if he wants. It's not in original config so if the firing pin breaks it breaks no collectable value lost.
westbender 820 he’s saying not to dry fire it cuz star firing pins are notoriously prone to breaking when dry firing.
