How could 6 people give these two geniuses a thumbs down is beyond me.
The world is a sadder place without John Clarke.
How anyone gives a stuff about how many vote whatever way on a video is beyond me.
They are geniuses that's for sure but lefty geniuses.
I think this is one of my favourite Clarke and Dawe videos.
Umpire Kerr called for drinks at that point....twice
That is pure gold right there...
the unique thing about the video is that they would have to shoot it in one take as opposed to the other videos which have the back and forth. Quality
magnificent...love the part Kerr called for drinks twice lol...made famous at the races drunk as a skunk
He called for drinks straight after that......twice. Merry Christmas guys thanks for a great year. Slasher used to play for NZ you know, brilliant wicket keeper, still fondly missed.
Witty, entertaining, very funny! I do miss that segment. Thank you for sharing
That Whitlam decision was an absolute shocker!!! He looked dead set for 200 - all the bowlers took a towelling - even Fraser was going for a run a ball before Umpire Kerr got it wrong. Certainly Whitlam’s post-match press conference madd it clear that he want happy. It wasn’t long before even Fraser and his teammates thought Kerr was no longer fit to umpire.
“Holt shouldn’t have gone out!!”, ha ha, no he shouldn’t have. At least not as far as he did.
Thank you, dear Gents! The crowd roars for you - as always.......
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)
marvelous stuff, that
Holt shouldn't have gone out. Kerr called for drinks - twice! Very, very funny stuff
They might regret that… does that imply that Holt was rubbed out and didn’t drown?
Pure gold.............as always! :-)
We miss you so dearly down here, John.
This is excellent play.
Some impressive commentary there. And yes this going upstairs business is not on.
Best one ever, well done guys :)
Pure 100% gold.
Taking the Micky out of pollies and cricket at the same time, pure comedic genius
Great, as usual.
Clarke and Dawe see through Australian politics as clearly as a cockroach on a glass ceiling.
so well done, wonder if parliament would be into live coverage to improve relations with the voting public.
aired 24/12/15?.....but it's only the 23rd here in this part of the world!
+Ian Stewart and what century?
+Jeff H centuries are not something that Aussies too often aspire to .......dust to dust & Ashes to England.
Ian Stewart We just let you have a look at them, for a while.
I'm afraid we Americans are absolutely lost here. Australian politics in the midst of cricket metaphors. Either would have been confusing enough, but together, well, the boys might just as well have been speaking in Estonian. (Do they play cricket there, I wonder?)
+Zeke B Over half the countries in the world have international teams. Estonia also has a team.
+Zeke B They're talking about Australian PMs and opposition leaders since the Menzies era (ie. he was the first Liberal PM of Australia). The run number (eg. 126) I would guess would refer to either their effectiveness as PM or the length of time they served as PM, while 0 would refer to their ineffectiveness.
In the description, run out refers to party or self-inflicted defeat (Menzies retired, Holt drowned, and the majority of the others were due to either resignation or leadership coups). b refers to bowled out (in cricket, if you're bowled out, the bowler bowled the ball and hit the wicket, knocking you out) and generally refers to losing at elections. c&b (caught and bowled out) would be utter humiliation, and Abbott's ht wkt refers to him hitting the wicket with his bat, knocking himself out.
+FlareOfLegacy Nicely summarised!
As a Brit I was able to discern the topic was politics (like all their videos) using cricket as a metaphor. Aussies (and Kiwis, before people conplain) are wonderful people so very cynical when it comes to politics.
A freaking rare Australasian genius brilliantly accompanied...so original....there’s a massive gap ....🥝
magnificent
Did McMahon face the bowlers?
He was out caught by two fine long legs 😆
@@geoffmesser5091 Yes, Ainsley's
Too good
Aha the seagull
The funniest part of lathams dismissal' the very next ball ..was the fact it was a no bowl.. Howards effort in India proved never would be a bowl.. never will be a bowl
For we Americans who know absolutely nothing about cricket, we cannot tell if this is parody or serious.
Well the real humor is the names of the players. They are all former leaders of Australia. Regardless of the sport I suggest this would be extremely inaccessible to anyone outside Australia
Clarke is an Australian born and bred.
His kiwi accent is his satirical take on Kiwis.
+Ken Watson So you say ? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Clarke_(satirist) he used to be ?Fred Dagg here before he went to OZZY
+ssgollyg .. and we want him back!!! The aussies can keep Russell Crowe in exchange, and we'll throw in Quade Cooper to sweeten the deal.
@@ssgollyg: whooshhh!
@@stevecrocker6904 Did you notice he wasn't even responding to OP? You wouldn't even know what he was responding to.
What the hell are they watching? The only thing that made since was a seagull eating a chip?
nice one boys.
Beasleys knick was a soft touch
I love his glance away at "a terrible shot"
Gold
Very clever funny men
Cricket jargon doesn't make sense to me!
,.bastards,...hahahaha,.....the history in innings,...hahahaha,...perfect score,...
Can some explain why its the perfect score?
