Show was good. A few sections here where the marching was a bit messy and balance in sound was off. The hindermith section started off well, but could use a bit tightening up with the brass. Vocals where good too but almost a bit over played towards the end. Guard was good for the most part noticeably needed some work in a few sections. Over all, Alexander played well, but not 1st place well. Most judges had them in the middle of the pack. United played much cleaner and brass was well balanced and strong, and the guard was brilliant. So over all, I believe the places fit well.
Bob Ross we’ll see? I fail to see the logic in your comment. Both of these programs are great. Both have poured countless hours, blood, sweat and tears into their productions. I hope Alexander does better at state. But just because they may place higher than united does not negate the fact that united out performed them at area. Both in prelims and finals. Just like United’s top placement at area does not negate the fact that Alexander out performed them at the uisd festival and boa south Texas. 🤷🏻♂️

It’s pretty good just need more Dynamics shaping and maybe a little more energy for the whole band, good drill over all just not enough musicality!
This performance should’ve been the first place that day. Amazing sounds! Brilliant show!
But it got topped by united high school band
